Black screen upon booting up and never loads

Hey all, whenever I try and launch this game it just boots up a black screen and I have to quit out by completely logging out of my user profile. I have made sure that DirectPlay is enabled within my windows legacy settings however that has not helped it still happens. Any other fixes you guys have found?

First of all, please forgive me for using a translation software to talk to you. DX
1) Add the DKII.exe file in your DRIVER's application Settings and change "Smooth Processing - Mode" to "Application Control".
2) Select the compatibility mode of Win XP in the property Settings of DKII.exe file.
You could try 2 frist，if it not work，try the 1，then the 2.
Although I've heard that EA's DXII has been patched for adaptation（At least my computer can run DKII.exe properly，Windows 10 Home Edition，64-bit）（But I found that my DXII .exe and DXII-DX.exe turned on "Run as administrator".Maybe you could try it？）, but I'm still not sure if the patch will work, or even the rumors are spurious,if my tutorial can't help you,maybe you could ask somewhere else like Reddit?I'm not sure.
You'd be hard-pressed to find fans of DXII these days.

My game went black screen, but found out it had nothing to do with going into compatibility mode or anything like that. It is the URL that Steam has us using to get into the game. I went to where the game is stored LOCALLY and the game ran fine there. However, I get a black screen EVERYTIME I run the steam URL executable. HOWEVER, it did work before with the Steam URL, but my computer had a hiccup and my latest DirectX is on the fritz. I am still able to play my games here. I just need to figure out how to fix the Steam URL for Dungeon Keeper 2 to read hey the game runs fine no need for all these workarounds it is right here.
