I have recently purchased this game and right after launch like 1-3 sec it crashes. I have DirectPlay enabled so I really dont know where the problem is.

Have you tried running it in admin mode?
Or compability mode?
You could also try installing GIM, but i doubt it would help

I tried running it in an admin mode, and several compabality for other Win systems. Nothing really helps

Have you have DK2 installed previously on your PC?
You could try to clean it from your regedit as well.
Or uninstall it with revo uninstaller

I tryed reinstalling multiple times, I even clear DK2 from registers and used revo to uninstall it, nothing really works. Is there any way how I can see the crash message?

Sadly, I don't know how I could help you further.
But perhaps the guys on the KeeperKlan Discord can help you further.

A little late, but running it in reduced colour mode 16bit fixed mine
My game broke too, but found out it had nothing to do with going into compatibility mode or anything like that. It is the URL that Steam has us using to get into the game. I went to where the game is stored LOCALLY and the game ran fine there. However, I get a black screen EVERYTIME I run the steam URL executable. HOWEVER, it did work before with the Steam URL, but my computer had a hiccup and my latest DirectX is on the fritz. I am still able to play my games here. I just need to figure out how to fix the Steam URL for Dungeon Keeper 2 to read hey the game runs fine no need for all these workarounds it is right here.

I have found out that if you set compatibility mode normally for DK2 and start it with steam, steam will undo your compatibility settings.

What to do to resolve this (easy):
In DKII-DX.exe Properties -> Compatibility -> Change settings for all users -> set Reduced color mode to 16-bit HERE!
This way steam cannot undo your changes and you can start DK2 through steam.
i try to unistall and reinstall nothing, is impossible launch the game, im on windows 11 trough parallels
anyone can help me working? I try all the above suggestion:steamsad:
I am also on latest windows and all I did was find where steam puts the games at went there directly to play the game you might not get much info because you are playing the game without the use of steam but if you want the info then complain to steam about this bug/glitch problem some of my icons go missing once in awhile and I have to find them in steams clusterf*** of folders then find the icon amongst the other clusterf*** of icons because steam DON'T NAME the icons AFTER THE GAME so some are sharing the same icon because they use almost the same icon
