Broken game that crash every minute or so. First one is better. Don't waste your time and pick the first game.

This shouldn't happen. Played this Game a lot. Maybe the Steam Version ist badly optimized for modern Systems. If so, I hope that they'll fix it because I would love to play it again but have no Access to the CD anymore

Never crashed for me. Must be your PC, or error between PC and your chair.

Haven't had any issues. Windows 10 build 19045
Haven't had any issues either. Runs smoothly on Win10. I have the original, non-Steam version as well and it runs smoothly even.
Works fine for me too.

OP probably has issues with their OS most likely, or some kind of chain related issue.
no problem here, must be your computer.

Hello, the truth is that everyone has a slightly different system and equipment and such things happen. Additionally, the multiplayer mode does not work, they did not add support to it, for example, to establish a connection via TCP/IP when someone is behind NAT. Also, there is no support for high resolutions, the company did not bother to create new textures in high resolution. The game works only because people from GOG tried to fix it, but it’s not like everything works. The above problems that I mentioned can be bypassed by editing entries in the registry, or using a tunnel like game ranger etc. But they could try to refresh this version, since they release it on Steam.

I had this on disk and was still playing, but, my old computer finally gave up and my new one has no CD drive so I bought this through Steam. It works with windows 11, but, the resolution is slightly less than I am used to.

A little research revealed that Open Access have adopted this title and are working to give it the OpenTTD treatment. Should be excellent. I have tried so very many other Dungeon games, all claiming to be the natural successor to DK2 and all disappointed.

I am not happy with this Steam release, but, it does work and it does not CTD on me.

You could also buy a external CD Drive :) Just need a free USB Port :)

I'm playing this game on a nearly 5-year-old MacBook Air using a virtual machine and it runs better than my life, and you're here complaining that just because of some sillyass bug that can be easily fixed if you have enough patience and nerve to do so the entire game is terrible? That's quite pathetic from your side mate :papyrus:

Assumptions ...

Their game runs *perfectly* ...

Their life runs *perfectly* except for the random Muppet on a gaming forum ...
