Dungeon Keeper™ 2

Thanks for the classic! Which version tho?
Nice to see such game there - so good it stays on hard drives (now SSD) for years,

I remember some problem in main campaign where best units (dark angels and knights) would not spawn later in the game.
Funny thing is - that bug was caused by last patch(es?).

I remember fixing it thanks to some forgotten soul that extracted fix for that from some Polish mod. That mod would also significantly boost difficulty... if you read this - thank you!

Also would be nice to see (and hear again) missing languages... I know that a lot of old games on digital stores have them missing for various reasons.

It's the gog version. Works perfectly fine, no issues.

Just wish there was a resolution patch so you could play higher than CRT resolutions...

You just need to do a simple registry edit.

If there´s a one game that should get a remaster, it´s this one. Seriously. Nothing special needed, just upscaled textures, models and make it work normally on modern PCs. Like remastered C&C for example.

Yes this version is the same as GOG and uses the 1.7 patch which does have an issue with creatures spawning. Check out PCgamingwiki and you'll see some posted fixes.

And the best of all is, it is multi language! Just change the language properties for DK2 on Steam. GOG doesnt host multilanguage as far as I am aware..

The game does support higher via registery edits, but it breaks the FOV and Menu Text will be gone.

I play the boxed copy i still own and use dgVoodoo to render higher resolutions which works just fine then. You're limited to 4:3 then though as anything outside of then will be stretched.

I wish I could turn the hardware rendering on somehow. No matter what i do its still in software rendering and looks very pixelated. And the widescreen fix via registry edit doesn't work for me either :( Its back to original values everytime i start the game :(

Hey Cliff, use 4.3 ratios, 16:9 will going to stretch everything and causes issues and crashes.
