Can't select higher resolutions above 1080p
I have an issue where I can't select any of the higher resolutions above 1080p (1920x1080), my monitors native resolution is UHD4k (3840x2160) and I cannot select it even though it shows up as a supported resolution in the in-game menu. I have tried selecting it in full-screen and windowed mode. Is this something that needs to be fixed, or a limitation of the game?

EDIT:

To fix DPI scaling issues,

1. Locate the .exe file in \steamapps\common\Ori (default location is C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common)
2. Right click and select properties in the drop down menu
3. Select the "compatibility" tab
4. Check disable display scaling on high DPI setting.
5. Click Ok, and you're all set!

Weird. I wonder what is going on with this game as it seems to support up to UHD4k as there's plenty of sites boasting 4k screenshots.

Are you trying to use an aspect ratio other than 16:9? Might be why you aren't getting resolutions relevent to your monitor being listed.

Nope. 3840x2160 is a 16:9 resolution. The resolution is listed, the game just won't let me select it (or any resolution above 1080p)

i found that if you have DPI scaling enabled, you won't be able to select 1080p. I had my scaling at about 175% and it would not let me select 1080p. Rght click on the shortcut or exe, click on the compatibility tab, then click on 'disable display scaling on high DPI settings'.

I could then select 1080p and have it work. Not sure if this helps for the UHD4k resolutions but it got me out of a low resolution.

Disabling DPI scaling worked. I forgot about that option as I don't have such an issue with other games.

I don't mean to be cheeky but would you mind updating your original post with the fix? I know this is a short thread, but generally it does help make the info more obvious & accessible for anyone subsequently searching the forum for posts on the same issue.

Glad you found a fix :-)

[Edit] Cheers for the edit. Not that it applies to this thread but there's nothing worse (*) than finding a thread from someone with the same problem you have, only to read to the bottom to find the OP saying their question doesn't matter anymore as they've figured out a fix; then silence. I'm sure you know what I mean.

(*) Okay, there are lots of worse things as Jimmy Carr pointed out in one of my favourite jokes that I really shouldn't & won't repeat here.

Thanks! It's help me!

Thanks, this post helped me as well. F#cking devs using unnecessary options and not even mentioning it in their FAQs.

Hopefully someone at moon sees this and they fix it in a patch.

I know what you mean. There's lots of times I'll go on the internet to search a Windows or game fix and I'll come across a thread on some forum where they had such an issue. The thread will say "solved" in the headline and I'll search through pages and pages (even just a few sometimes), but no one actually provided the solution or fix they came up with to the problem. It can be very frustrating.

Wow, that works. I could not get 1080p because the game did not allow me to but now I can. Thanks m8!
