Resolution ISSUE.
I am unable to change resolution to 1080p. i only get 1583x864. playing on a 40 inch LED.
I have no issues with any other games.
Tried changing resolution in windowed mode and full screen. NOTHING works!

Hopefully there is a fix for this.

Could you tell me the full resolution of your monitor? That might help me pin the issue.
Also, do you have a dual/multiple screen setup, and if so, do you play on the primary or secondary screen?

I run it on a Samsung 40inch TV and have full 1080 res so you may have issue with video driver

I have an issue where I can't select any of the higher resolutions above 1080p (1920x1080), my monitors native resolution is UHD4k (3840x2160) and I cannot select it even though it shows up as a supported resolution in the in-game menu. I have tried selecting it in full-screen and windowed mode. Is this something that needs to be fixed, or a limitation of the game?

EDIT:

To fix DPI scaling issues,

1. Locate the .exe file in \steamapps\common\Ori (default location is C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common)
2. Right click and select properties in the drop down menu
3. Select the "compatibility" tab
4. Check disable display scaling on high DPI setting.
5. Click Ok, and you're all set!

thank you it worked. much appreciated:)
I cannot change resolution from 1280 x 720. Very frustrating.

When I go to properties, the compatibility option is not available. How can I access it (if at all)?

I have the same problem but I cant set it to 2560x1400 or 1080p or a bunch of other res it goes back to 1707x960 everytime

but it does let me set it at super low res like 640x480

i dont have a compatability tab...what do i do?
Israel Oct 16, 2015 @ 12:16pm
you can find the compatibility tab by:
1.- on steam client
2.- choose library
3.- right click on ori and the blind forest
4.- left click on properties
5.- left click on local files tab
6.- left click on show local files
7.- right click on ori.exe
8.- left click on properties
9.- and now left click on compatibily
10.- now you cand left click the check box to disable dpi display scaling

enjoy!:fix:

To the developer; This is apparently still a bug, so I suggest to fix this.
Checking the checkbox for scaling as suggested in this thread works though, but would be better to have this fixed in the game.
I couldn't set the resultion higher than 1500 something (lower was possible, not higher), as it simply reset to the 1500 one again. After setting the checkbox as suggested here it didn't reset anymore.

I play on a 15inch laptop woth normal 1080p graphics, so there shouldn't be any issue with the resolution.

I join the others in complaining about not being able to simply change the resolution to my screen's native value. Fortunately, the workaround with .exe file seems to have worked for me also. However, I agree with others it is a bug and deserves fixing. Thanks to tonkajoe for posting the workaround.

Money down the drain because you *thought* you had to play the game at a slightly lower resolution than you wanted?

Yeah, that seems like a perfectly rational, mature complaint.
