Logitech F710, key mappings are all wrong
First of all, thanks for an absolutely incredible game.

During the last patch, my F710 controller wasnt working at all, so i used the keyboard+mouse option, even though i'd like to use the 710 for a game like this. I was excited to see that the controller bug was fixed by the latest patch, but i was rather dissapointed to see that the key mappings were all wrong. Pressing "A" to accept in the menus, executes a "B" press(back). Pressing "X" executes a "A" press. So the out of the box setup doesnt work.

I do know that i can remap theese keys using the logitech software, and i probably will, but this seems like some sort of basic wrong mapping within the game. Might be an easy fix, or if anyone knows any fix to this(not remap with software, i know about that one :), please give me a heads up.

Once again, thanks for a wonderful game

I'm having the exact same problem. Has anyone found a solution for this?

Which mode do you use? I left the game 10 minutes ago and on my F710 everything works fine. F710 switched to X-Input mode. If you used Direct Input mode this explains your wrong key mapping.

Do you have to use controllers to play the game?

Yup, I totally forgot that it had X and D modes. I'm not even sure what those really do. Switching it worked though. Thanks!

You don't need to use a controller for the game, but I find side scrolling platformers are much more enjoyable if you do.

Direct Input used for very old game. All new games works with XInput - its native x360 controller library.

The only problem is that I have (and want to keep) Windows10 on my notebook and for some reason I can't find any option or driver that works with the F710 in Xinput in W10. Even x360ce doesn't seem to help so I'm stuck with the wrong mapping on the go. In the living room it works fine which makes it even weirder to switch mappings.

Driver from x360 controller should work but you need to install it manualy.
Open device manager, scan for hardware changes. after scan F710 must appear, right click on it and choose "Update Driver" then select "Browse my computer..." then "Let me pick from a list..." and seach for Xbox 360 Peripherals and select to install "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows". reboot.

Thanks for the replies, and the detailed solution from Vindrytter. I ended up playing through with keyboard and mouse, but i did test Vindrytter's solution on WIn 8.1, and it worked. My F710 now also works with all the other games i was having trouble with. Heres a link to a youtube video that shows the process(not that good sound quality, but you get the idea): Driver fix for F 710

I used a corded Logitech Rumble Pad 2 out of the box, didn't work. So I used x360ce.exe 32 bit, made xinput1_3.dll (made duplicate renamed copy to->)
xinput1_2.dll
xinput1_1.dll
xinput9_1_0.dll

...heard the DING, and it worked but with the exact same problem as OP. Including [LT] and [RT] opening map and menu. [Select] and [Start] are non functioning. [A] counts as jump but also as accept and cancel. [X] ingame attacks and jumps at the same time. It's quite frustrating. I have accepted that my gamepad is older now, but x360ce.exe let my gamepad live a much longer life.

I've made a tool that allows to rebind gamepad buttons (I have exact problems with my Cyborg Rumble Pad controller), is there anyone willing to give it a try?
