[Bug][Workaround] Invisible mouse pointer after update [wine, win7, dx9-mode]
Hi

I know you don't support wine or playing on Linux but this issue occurred only after the latest patch and must therefore be directly related to it.

The Mouse cursor is completely invisible in the game menu and in game. It is only briefly visible for a split second when moving the cursor into the game window and then disappears. Playing in full screen doesn't make a difference.

While I'm glad the DX9 issues have been fixed, I could have lived with pink text. Aiming without a cursor however is quite a challenge and makes the game unplayable.
The problem is not related to graphics drivers as both nVidia and Intel GPU show the same behaviour.
Of course I'm aware that this could still be a wine-bug and no fault on your side.

I was able to revert to a backed up pre-patch game state for now so I can at least play and wait for a solution to this (steam shall not see the daylight of the internet any more :D )

Thank you for working so hard on all the issues that came up after the patch (I know how frustrating that must be)

Simon

Edit: great. forgot to back up my game saves... ok in the worst case I have to play this awesome game again xD

Workaround: Use ori.exe 1.0 to start the game:

I have the same problem, when running the game in dx9 mode with Win7 64bit.

I'll look into it soon, right now my wine is in shambles :( On PlayOnMac (should be same with PlayOnLinux), there are options for mouse wrap. Configure -> Miscellaneous -> Mouse wrap mode. You can try the available options to see if it helps.

edit: These options shoudl be available on pure wine, I just don't know where :)

I tried all options available (intel GPU). Unfortunately neither of them works. Good thinking though

I was getting the same problem. So I switched the control mode to keyboard only.
Then you can start using dash with the aswd keys.

The game runs perfectly fine with steams adaption of wine: proton. The cursor is visible. You just have to enable playing games with proton in the steam settings.

To me it seemed like the game was running more smooth with the following launch option:

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
