Mt. Horu issue that I'm not sure how to handle
I'm stuck on the left side of Mt. Horu, on the second section from the bottom, where you have to bash up a lot of projectiles and then run up some platforms. I made my way to the top, but then I somehow forgot to activate the rock to stop the lava flow and just left the area (where you have to glide diagonally down). I can't seem to make my way back up to the top though since the platforms in the topmost section are gone (destroyed by the lasers?). So I'm just stuck :(

I realize this is sort of my fault for not remembering to get the rock when I was up there, but I'm not sure why I can't find a way to get back up there again to activate the rock properly - it doesn't make sense to me that the platforms would disappear after the first time you go up... And they don't appear to respawn, even if I exit the game and restart.

Thanks for the help!

Stuff resets when you get far enough away, though you have to go much farther away in Ori than you do in most other games. if they don't reset, you didn't go far enough away before coming back. It's pretty far, but you can force them to reset.

And of course if you go far away and then just kill youself to get back, it won't work, since according to the game you never left yet.

thanks for the idea, i'll try to reset by leaving and re-entering mt. horu.

You'll find you can't leave Mt. Horu, but you can try going to a very far off room in it and returning.

I went to the top right and top left rooms, but that didn't reset the room. I went all the way to the end of the top left room, but still no reset - this is without killing myself to get back.

That's very bizzare. Are you very sure you haven't already compleated it? It should have opened the way to the room just below in the main room

otherwise you may indeed be stuck. :/

A lot of the navigation to the top area should be off projectiles but if you are having an issue, remember you can cahrge your charge jump mid air. If the concern is areas too hot to stay long you can do this to shorten time. The growths ont he platforms themselves may not show up again but they aren;t necessary to complete the climb up.

If it doesn't reset, try the debug mode, like this...

Download the program that DaddyDrew made in this tread

http://steamcommunity.com/app/261570/discussions/0/617330227199670732/

start the program, load your save file and mark "enable debug" --> patch
start the game load the save and press 8 (not the numpad 8) to activate debug mode
activate "debug controls" in the first column, press 8 again
hold "right CTRL" now you should be able to teleport Ori using the movement keys
teleport through the room
deactivate "debug controls"
create save point, exit game
then use the program again to disable debug on your save file

hope that helps

http://steamcommunity.com/app/261570/discussions/0/618456760272262183/?insideModal=1 might help you out, I used it to get some leftover secrets in areas you can't enter again.

I'm pretty sure I didn't clear it (this was pretty late at night and I admit my brain might not have been fully running)... even if I did, the fire is still going on the level below so I can't get in their anyways.

Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone, I really appreciate it! I will try out the debugging tool. If I still can't figure it out, I'll include some screenshots to better describe the situation I'm in in case anyone has other ideas.

Hey man did you ever figure this out? I think my wife is stuck on the same issue, and this thread is the only thing I can find on google that sounds similar.

I started a thread on reddit to see if I'd get any help there. Looks like the only difference is we're playing Ori on Xbox one so I don't know if debugging tools work (I'll have to look into it).

Thanks.

I used one of the debugging tools to fix it, I couldn't find a way to figure it out in game. Not sure if the debugging tools work for Xbox One, but I couldn't find an in game way to deal with this :/
