Besides, you really should try to give it a chance, it's definitely worth it. Once you've figured out how the moving mechanics work it's more or less a cakewalk, trust me.
It mimics the old platformers learning mechanics : you can't progress through Super Mario World without dying a lot, but once you've registered the patterns, you'll have it easier. Well this is the case in this one too. If you want to enjoy it, you'll need patience and coffee ^^
Pfftt just keep trying it really isn't that hard once you know what to do.
Rayman Legends is, in my opinion, the best platformer ever made. That doesn't make Ori bad, though. As for "masochistic difficulty", I'd say Legends is far more difficult toward the end than any point in Ori, maybe you didn't get that far yet?
No it's not ! Try R:Origins with the land of the Livid Dead without going crazy xD
No way you can 100% the game and under 1hr at the same time :P
people do speedrun in 1hr but just rushing the story
Or you just suck at the game. Learn the patterns of the escape sequences, master it and come out victorious. If you cannot do that then go back to CoD.
Origins had the better challenge but Legends had the better level design, in my opinion. Except for the secrets and collectible placement. Even the secrets in Legends weren't as secret, the hidden areas and Teensies were mostly right out in the open whereas in Origins they were pretty well-hidden.
Yes, better design in Legends. As for the difficulty, well I see it as the "family game" of the series, more accessible than it's predecessors =).
