That happens.
Aww....you mad me sad :(
It gets worse; when that happens, Ori makes this pitiful little squeak that you don't hear otherwise.
...There's a reason that my avatar is of Gendo Ikari in his natural state.
Hum... I have to hear this squeak! If I don't find a video, I will have to start the game again. ;)
Oxygen bar can be fun, it's weird you can totally skip this kind of gameplay. Anyway, there is not a lot of water in the game, I guess I didn't miss a lot.
"Hm... Time to listen to the sound of an adorable little snowball creature as I watch it drown! For science (and for kicks)!"
A man after my own heart, aren't you?
Yeah, it is a bit odd, considering that I've gone through the whole game without that ability or even coming close to really needing it to help me progress. And well, don't worry, the only thing you missed is the one type of death in the game where Ori doesn't pop like a magic balloon.
I admit that it's the next ability I would really miss, the triple jump...
With underwater, I guess they have a gameply opportunity for... "Ori 2 and the mute Mountain", or somethnig like that...
here you go :P our cute little furball drowning
So cute.. ;)
Like 20 seconds, it's short!
For the ability improvement: maybe that 40 (or 60) seconds would be enough? So you would have a good improvement, but you would keep an (unecessary) underwater gameplay. Anyway, the game is still fun, of course! :)
Eh, you're not alone in finding it morbidly cute. I don't feel bad about it though, but then that's likely due to ten years back, when me and my middle-school class would gather around in the evening and watch as this one guy took these small lizards he caught out in the woods and drop them into buckets of water. He'd sometimes hold them under by their tails and laugh like a hyena when they stopped struggling.
