Blue orbs?

I'm really early in the game, under an hour, are these something that are limited or do they kind of spawn unlimited as I destroy things? Since they have a dual function of saving or opening areas it is obviously a difficult choice!

The blue orbs are limited, to 15 I think.
But the energy crystals for refilling it are unlimited.
The blue crystals on the map respawn and enemies drop them aswell.

Oh I see I think. So if I have fifteen, I should just spend them, but overall they're a grindable item? That's good! I feel like it'd be a tough choice to make.
