i got the same problem on my end. i have allready reinstalled the game, but still nothing happens after i press a key..no "start game" or "options". need advice, thank you

try Z X C .. try clicking hte mouse button.. failing that, try the "any" key.

Hey guys, I will post here what I posted in a different thread as well:

I'm a developer on Ori. We are working on this issue, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some extra information.

If you get the screen with "Press any button", does it go away when you press a button, while nothing else pops back up?
Did you try running the game as administrator? This might fix the issue.
Did you play the game before? Did it work? If so, did you create any save slots?

I'm really sorry you had to encounter this bad bug, and we are trying to fix it in the upcoming patch. Your answers could help us big time!

Yeh it goes away and nothing happens... just a pretty tree and the nice soundtrack keep playing. Interestingly enough I found a modded Assembly-CSharp.dll file in one of these threads another user created. It got me through the 'press any key' page and into the main menu. It worked... but the game wouldn't save. So I did finally get to play it a little but unfortunately all my progress was lost.

Also, to answer some of your questions - running the game as administrator didn't help and I never was able to play the game before. The only thing that helped was that .dll file that got me into the main menu (mind you the main menu still doesn't 'show up' at first, but once you press enter or click on one of the 'invisible' menu buttons it shows up).

Hopefully that helps! Best of luck with this mate. From what I did play the game is bloody awesome. Really a shame about this bug.

Please try this new assembly, I'm fairly certain I got it this time, saves and all.
If this works, it will help the devs sort the issue out a lot faster. Hope I can get some volunteers.

OK, looks like your new one works so far. Started, saved, closed, restarted and successfullt loaded the save. I'll let you know if I come across any other issues. Thanks again!

This fix worked for me too! Very awesome work by DaddyDrew. Press Any Key now did take me to the main menu and the game did save properly.
