Suggestion: Spirit Well Saves
Being able to save anywhere is certainly useful, but it does seem to be causing trouble for a lot of players who have encountered glitches and I myself recently managed to become stuck by taking some hits on spikes in order to get an item and then making a Soul Link only to realize that I didn't have enough health to make it back (and nothing to kill or destroy in order to gain enough either).

The current solutions most players seem to be using in such cases are to either start over or to edit their save files, neither of which are particularly ideal. Thus, I would like to suggest patching in a menu option which would allow players to go back to the last time they used a Spirit Well (or even the last major event, whichever was the most recent). In order to prevent extreme sequence breaking, this option would also likewise reset any progress made since that point, including Soul Link saves.

Basically, this would function as a separate autosave designed solely as a last resort for players who are literally stuck. While this would in some cases still result in the loss of substantial progress and while it would certainly be best if players didn't get stuck at all, it is still a significantly better option compared to the existing ones and would likely be relatively easy to patch in.

I'd say brilliant idea you got there, your suggestion must be heard at Moon Studios!

This is a no brainer. It should also allow you to fast travel between spirit wells.

Fast travel for spirit wells would definitely be nice, though there are parts of the game where you're dropped somewhere and meant to pick up a new power before being allowed to backtrack, such as when getting the wall jump and I'm not sure if any of the spirit wells are accessible in any of these parts.

In other words, fast travel between spirit wells may or may not actually be game-breaking depending on where the spirit wells are located.
I'd be more concerned about the auto-saving part of the wells. That pretty much ruins the "immortal" achievement, even if you haven't saved manually at a well after dying.
My curiosity ruined it as well, yeah, but i didnt expect it saving automatically after that. Most things are resetted anyways. :s

Just my concerns.

Hmmm, what if using the well to reset also increased the death count by 1 or just nullified the achievement to prevent people from abusing it just for the achievement?

Though to the best of my knowledge if someone really wanted to cheat for the achievement they could do that even now anyway since they could just always keep two saves and overwrite the older copy every time they make some progress without dying. It's more tedious to do, but still an easy enough 'fake' way to get the achievement if someone really wanted it enough.
