Stuck with owl chasing me

[Howl]

Hi, I'm at the first section of the owl chase, about 70% into the game. There was a spider that I used to open a wall and then a charging enemy I used to open another wall. Just past that there was a hopping enemy that I'm assuming you need in order to bash from, to get through the next part fast enough. The hopping enemy is now gone permanently, even if I restart the game and I cannot move through the open area fast enough. Do I need this mob? Am I missing something simple? Pic is below.

Yeah, it's a simple thing. You need to hop down from the wooden bridge to your right and get to that large fallen log (right next to the bridge pole furthest to the pic's edge). It's used as a hiding spot which can be pushed like the movable rocks. Push it to the right until you can't move it any more, and jump back up and start running for the exit again. You should make it this time.

Ah thanks. I forgot you could drop down through platforms. I just managed to complete it a bizarrely different way in the meantime. You can use the exploding rolling enemies which respawn endlessley. You have to bounce them over the gap and then kick them like a football to the open area, where you can bounce off them to move fast enough....

Dropping down and pushing something seems much easier!!!

Depending if ur using keyboard or gamepad, but since I'm using gamepad you joystick down and press A (or down d-pad and A) or something like that. I don't remeber at the top of my head lol, it just happens in-game :D

- Don't know keyboard though :(

Actually, I did it without the log (because I'm blind and didn't make the connection). Just barely made it, but I did it. It was intense!

All you had to say was "Press Down & Jump".

I actually beat it another way.
I flicked the green rhino thing over to the other side and balanced it in a way that let me launch and barey make it the full distance.
Yep, I overthink everything.
