The ruins are a gravity based zone and I feel your frustration as it took me a while to figure it out. There are a couple of bits where you just have to leap and watch to figure out where to go the next life.

The surface your feet are on is always down so if you're sttod on the right side of an orange block down it to the left, meaning if you jump off then thats the way you will fall.

After that it's a case of remembering which way the left and right on the stick are going.

If you want to reoriente to the ground RT will drop the orb, just make sure you're over safe ground or ready to float after you drop it.

One thing I found as well was I started to tilt my head to line up with down, similar to what folk do with hands and controllers with driving games.

Basically, look at which direction Ori is facing. Down will behave like down. So, if you are standing upside down and you jump off a platform like this you will "fall" up. Very neat actually.

i dont get it. because if i let the ice-orb go, gravity goes back to normal. i cant figure out how to pass this

Stand on the right hand side of the fire block then jump off it, you'll see

DON'T let go of the orb

In your screenshot, walk around to the right side of the platform where you are standing on. Then jump off the platform. You will "fall" to the left side of your screenshot

If you're playing with a PC monitor I have a simple solution for the gravity issue.

Lay your screen down and rotate it as you play. That way you'll handle the orientation of the gravity direction better.

Gameplay and control is not intuitive in this gravity level. This is way "Ori and the Blind Forest" not a good platformer for me. sad
