I'd suggest her to verify game cashe and maybe check how much free RAM she has.
-force-d3d9
then try to start the game again.
Gl.
Have the same issue..
It won't start,
1) can see it in the task manager list running (also steam platform says its running + and the playtime is being counted)
2) administrator right didn't work (both steam and ori.exe)
3) launch option , -force-d3d9 didn't work either (also directx fresh install)
4) fresh install steam / ori / steamapps folder deletion didn't worked.
5) also installing some other games for distributable runtime software test / run different game (CS:GO) was also tested but working fine
if the problem cannot be solved, I but have no choice to refund it..
P.S tried on another friends laptop by installing steam ..was working fine..
Here are my infos on the matter :
When i try to launch the game, it says that the "App is already running". And it looks like I am playing it (judging by my Steam Status). Again, no black screen, no sound: nothing. The thing is, i do have a third party (ESET NOD32 Antivirus). I do know that ESET and Steam arent really best friends but this is the first time something like this happens to me...
Here's a few Steam/ESET thing I tried :
- cleared & verify the gaming cache
- cleared local file to download the game again
- turned on/off Windows 7 multiple times already
- gaming mode is off
- Ive put the Steam folder and the Ori folder in my autorised web url access thing (pressing F5 and such)
- i tried contacting Steam about it, but theyre not answering (its not like i waited a long time already, but i cant wait to start playing and its been a while that im stuck on this problem)
I did check my Task Manager :
- Looks like OatBF is not appearing in my applications (running)
- OatBF does appear as processed -- Ori.exe *32 l 1808K l Ori
Any ideas ? Thanks a lot ! \
Ps. I just dont want to cancel my NOD32 protection if possible.
Ram 8.00GB
Intel Core i74770HQ @ CPU 2.20GHz 2.19GHz
64 bit OS
it works, thx!
