Yellow icon on top-left of screen?

What is this? When the tutorial popped up I was fighting an enemy and it auto closed as I was spamming square.

I think that would be the UI for your map stone fragments. you were walking in front of a map stone, am I correct? :)

Top left are map-stones and Top right are key-stones.
