PS2 controller supported?
I don't have a Xbox 360 or Xbox One Controller that is compatible with PC, so I have to use my PS2 controller with a USB adapter.
I already tried to use x360ce with this game but it's not working, the x360ce is not starting with the game.
Does anyone know if there is actually a way to make this work?

I think you can play it with a PS2 controller but it's not optimal =) I had a PS layout on my controller and it worked, but I prefer the keyboard & mouse ^^

Yeah, the game recognizes the controller, but the buttons are all switched and messed up. That's why I need the x360ce, it emulates a xbox 360 controller.

I'll throw it at the devs, they're lurking around the forums anyway :P

Same. Using a Logitech controller and it works fine for most things but here the buttons get all screwy. Where on a normal Xbox controller X is reading as A and A is B. Plus RT/LT isn't working. Rather not play a game like this on Keyboard and Mouse.

Everyone hates the keyboard & mouse =(

But keyboard & mouse are LOVE!

It all depends on the game, we play on PC (master race) so we get to choose the best option for each game. All sort of gamepads, fightnig sticks, wheels, joysticks etc that we have available and we cant use them? thats messed up. :cell:

Now the devs not only use the xbox360 controller scheme but we cannot even rebind the buttons to play with a gamepad or make a controller emulator work. We shouldnt have to have this problem.:thekid:

Am I supposed to buy a x360 controller if I preffer a controller over keyboard+mouse on these kind of games? I do not like the 360 controller and its about 80USD on my region.(way more than the game):squirtmeh:

Devs, please allow the rebinding of buttons or provide a way to allow us to play with a gamepad with out having to have to jump through hoops for something so small.:squirtyay:

It works perfectly for me using a PS2 dualshock controller with the motionjoy tool.
LT/RT buttons and vibration works!
Im using Original PS2 dualshock 2 with ps2<>USB adapter.
Motionjoy replaces the original drivers with its own, you only have to select the device in the interface and click "load driver" - then select "xbox controller emulator" in main interface and start the game! Have fun!

Motioninjoy Ds3 0.7.1001

!
Be sure to download the right version and av/malware scan the zip before using!
There are many fakes out there.
0.5x did not work for me!

All the binding tools that use xinput api and so others wont work because the unity engine games like ori reads raw input from the controller directly through the device driver!
So everything you try afterwards from an inputs perspective won't have any impact.

Also mapping gamepad keys to keyboard and try using keyboard as input ingame wont do it because as soon as you make use of the gamepad it will again automatically switch to that input device and reads its raw input data.

The only way is a modified driver like motionjoy!

I can confirm Motionjoy definitely works with a Ps2 or Ps3 pad (Didn't even know those drivers work for Ps2 pads too) in this game even vibration works now, couldn't get anything else to work xpadder, pinnacle tried everything only this (ad ridden) driver worked.

It should even work with the PSX controller.
For PS4 controllers try ds4 motionjoy.

I have no experience on that.

@tetsuo
The other tools only mess with xinput but dont touch the device driver itself.

ty, I was not able to make it work with motionjoy, never detects my dualshok 2 (ps2) controller. On another thread i saw that Better DS3 worked and I plugged my PS3 controller and worked for me w/o much trouble xD

Better DS3 is just another control panel for the Motionjoy drivers infact you should only use the Motionjoy control panel to install the driver and then use Better DS3, the Motionjoy control tool is a ad ridden buggy mess and it calls home to china every time you open it.

Here is a small guide :

What we need:

1. MotioninJoy DS3 Tool 0.7.1001 - use google

2. Better DS3 - http://betterds3.ciebiera.net/ (.Net 3.5 is required to run this program)

3. USB and DS3 or DS2 controller.

The Setup:

1. Install and run MotioninJoy DS3 Tool.

2. Plug in your DS3 or DS2 Controller (the program should detect your controller).

3. In MotioninJoy DS3 Tool's panel, go to 'Driver Manager'.

4. Check your DS3 or DS2 controller ('Hardware Location - Hardware ID' column) and then hit 'Load Driver'.

5. Go to 'Profiles'.

6. Hit (the radio button) on 'Xinput Default - Xbox 360 Controller Emulator'.

7. Hit 'Xbox 360 Controller Emulator Options'.

8. Hit 'Default' and then 'Save changes'.

9. Close MotioninJoy DS3 Tool. /////If We did this correctly, we won't need to run this program again.
Just keep it and forget about it. Do not uninstall it, removing this program will uninstall the drivers.

----

10. Install and run Better DS3.

11. It should detect your DS3 or DS2 controller. Hit (Combo Box) 'New' and then choose 'XInput'.

12. Type in any name in the Profile Name Text Box.

13. Hit 'Auto Fill Xbox 360' button and then 'Save Profile'. The 'Save Profile' button is at the bottom
of the window.

14. Choose the 'Saved Profile' and then hit 'Apply'. /////Better DS3 must be opened and the 'Saved Profile'
must be applied before running a game every time you reboot.

I've heard it only works with a specific adapter. I have the Blue Triangle and someone said it doesn't work with that. Can someone confirm?
