PC control issue - game is unplayable

Just bought the game today. When I come into the main menu (after press any key) the marker runs upwards continously like hell. Like I press "Up Arrow" constantly. Of course I don't do that.
I can use mouse to click, can enter the menu options, but for example in the controls section it does the same. The highlighted marker keeps running upwards. If I change the controller input to mouse and keyboard and leave the menu, when I reenter it is still on controller.
I can start the game by mouseclicks, but when the game hands over the control over the fat guy, he just stands still, going nowhere, no matter which key I press. I can jump with "Space", that's all.
I read through (I think) all the forums, troubleshooting pages, googled after it, but it seems no one else has this issue except me. I really would like to play this beautiful game, but it seems I can't. I hope this problem can be solved somehow, else I am afraid I have no other choice than refund. :(

Edit: I watched the menu and the first screen on Win10.

Maybe your up arrow key is just stuck - this is fixed by simply pressing it. If that doesn't help try restarting your computer.

Do you have anything plugged in to your computer that may be interfering? For example I've seen flight simulator control sticks mess with other people's game before. The most random things can interfere. If you do try unplugging it and see if it changes. If the controller scheme is "controller" when you start the game then the game is detecting some kind of device.

Same here. It is the "running to the left" bug described as "Solved". WTH? It looks nice but I am going to return it. Shame.

Please help me
When i press any key as it tells me to no menu comes up and i just get the blank starting screen. Please this is an amazing game but i cant play it becasue of this problem

In some other game the same behavior was cause by conflict of USB devices. Solution was unplug one of them.
