"The language of the light"
When i search the translations of "Sein" i get interesting translations. "Sein" means "Being", "Essence", "Existance", and "Suchness", and to be honest, Sein is all of those. "Ori" is "Or" and "And", which doesn't explain Ori. What are other translations in this game? Put them in the discussion feed. :ori:

Every name in the game have a meaning and Ori's name mean "My light", but I don't remember which language, but that is poetic as h*ll in my honest opinion :D

AFAIK, Ori is "My light" in hebrew.

Yes, Ori is "My Light" in Hebrew, Sein is German, meaning something like you described(as well as being the original name for the game earlier in development apparently), Kuro and Gumo mean "black" and "spider" in japanese respectively. Naru may possible be japanese as well, but I'm less clear on that one. Also, Nibel may be an alternative to Nifl, as in Niflheim(Nibelheim), which would mean it may mean "mist".

"Horu" is similar to "hora" in czech and other slavic languages, which means "mountain". Or "nahoru", which means "up".
So many Ori fans show up XD
