I don't have a screenshot offhand, but the spot I'm talking about is one of the Horu challenge rooms, and involves manipulating two platforms connected to the same lever control in order to block lasers. It's a very small room, and very easy to mess up.
All you gotta do after moving the lever on the left side is to go from left to right while the bottom platform goes from right to left and blocks the laser thingy (very easy if you use glide and/or double jump), this way the upper platform (with a lever) goes the same direction as you and you can easily go to the place where you stomp the thing on top left side of the room.
I'm not a huge fan of that area in Sorrow Pass with all the spikes. The one you have to constantly press the key to glide in, the long vertical room? Yeah. that's the one.
I realized that on my successful immortal run, but that isn't how I cleared it the previous 10+ runs through the game I had done. My method involved getting to the lever, setting it up so that the platform was on the left next to me, and as soon as I pulled the lever I'd jump on the platform and charge jump up to the top left of the room. It was extremely time sensitive, because the moment the bottom platform stopped blocking the laser, it would be impossible to do it that way. As a result, I had more difficulty with that room than any of the others, with the easiest probably being the "Beamos" room.
This area on the other hand, not a problem. To be honest, Sorrow Pass is probably my favourite area in the game, the only ways I've occasionally died there have been due to the lasers in the main windshaft(not being patient and stomping all the way down...), and the laser and rock puzzle, due to some slightly unfortunate bashes. The windy spike room reminds me a lot of Screech's Sprint from Donkey Kong Country 2, and so I find it really easy personally.
At the "Forlorn Ruins", 73 procent in the game, i accidentally got hit by the one-hit-lasers.
After that, i gave up on the achievment XD, i was to angry and disapointed to try again.
This weekend, i will try again. B)
