Can you replay certain sections?

I beat the ginso tree and I want to replay it again with my friend but I don't want to replay all the way up to it.

You can't here... only in the definitive edition.
If you look around the forums there should be a tool that lets you teleport between spirit wells, so you can get back in there but you're not really supposed to be there after you clear it, there will be no escape sequence and getting back down to the base could be a problem if you don't know what you're doing.
In short it's easier to just start another run... Ginso Tree is not that far into the game after all.

O well then. I guess we'll do the wind escape together instead. The ginso tree was just so cool. I wish I could do it over and over again.

Keep a backup of a save file from just before, next time. If you ask in this forum someone might send you one, if you're okay with that. I've seen this happen several times when people have trashed their own saves by saving in silly places & then getting into infinite death loops, iirc.

Just be sure to back up your own save somewhere before you do the file swap
