Help pls: File read error. Please verify your installation
Hi,
since a few weeks I cannot play the game anymore because of the message "File read error. Please verify your installation".

I reinstalled the game (playing vanilla without mods) several times, tried the version 1.2.7, verified the game files and deleted all save games. Still not working.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Can you try deleting the "steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Sounds" folder and verifying your game files? If this doesn't fix the problem, please refer to this article and update me if it helps or not:
