Radagos executes galter bug

I've gone to the hideout to rescue the PC family, but at the end I duel Galter (i think thats the bandit name), and then once you defeat him, you say he's Radagos' property, then Radagos only option is to execute Galter.

Press execute and it takes you to the main map, then you are loaded back to the scene where you tell Galter he is now Radagos' property, then select Radagos to execute him again and then you are in a loop.

Any way to fix this?

So glad I wasted 65GB redownloading this.

I played at first on version 1.7.0 beta and everything was fine. When I switched to version 1.7.1 beta this crash appeared. But even after rolling back to version 1.7.0 this crash continues. Reinstalling and cleaning all files in 'steamapps/Mount and Blade' and Documents does not help.

Removed all mods and still getting this.

Anyone find a fix yet?
There has to be some kinda work around.
Maybe someone knows how to edit the save file or something?

Not sure when a patch is coming so let's to try to find a solution.

no fix yet. Best thing to do is keep sending crash files :)

Hello. I have a bug - I can't finish "Rescue Family" mission. When I beat Galter and push "Execute" button I have a crash.

Got the same issue. There's no crash, so no crash report. It's just an infinite loop.

I may have found a workaround.

There's a mod on Nexus Forums called
Cultured Start for 1.7

It has several options including:

"Nerezet's Folly Skip - Completes the quest as soon as you start the game."

I'm going to give it a shot and report back.

Can confirm that:

"Cultured Start for 1.7" on Nexus Mods works to bypass this story line.

You can skip all quests actually which is awesome!

Combine that Mod with:

Character Manager {on Nexus Mods as well}
and you can import your character and companions over to the new save.

There you go.

Until the Devs manage to squish this bug you've got your workaround.

This is a big issue for me, my work around is simply to ignore quest. We need a fix for this asap.

Same problem, fresh install, not on any beta patch.
Tried safe mode, running as admin, tried turning graphics to minimum settings.
Four crashes in a row at the same spot nothing works.

Nobody should have even touched that quest code, it was done and working. Whatever the case, if you need paid QA testers for patches lmk, I'm cheap and I like games. I know at least four programming languages fluently, use git all the time and am schooled in IT. (A+ and Network+ certified 2010). lol. hmu, I would easily do work for this game. Paid, of course.
