No. They still do not have pirates or dinosaus or zombies or hobbitses, but other than that, it's in pretty good shape if you don't crap it up with a bunch of poorly maintained and half-ass developed mods.
Who cares? It's MP.
Mod support is pretty good, but mod usage by mod users is another thing entirely. The 'OPDATE BROKED MAH MODS DIS GAME SUX!' crowd is still pretty vocal. If they spent as much time learning how to install mods correctly as they do ranting about how TW 'broked' mods . . . well, that's just not going to happen, is it, so why speculate?
Better than Warband unless you liked the feasts and the books and the manhunters a lot, in which case, you should go play Warband.
i care about mp because warband mb was amazing. fun as hell. Im considering this game but it still seems a bit pricy for what it has to offer, i dunno from youtube footage there doesnt seem to be as much content as warband
It's currently at sale at -40% Complain about price just now, seems a bit off.
If you need a game where you get pampered and hand held all the way, this is not a game for you. It's basically a sandbox where you can do whatever you want. It got a main campaign but you can ingore it if you want, it doesn't lead to any game over.
who cares if its on sale? what does that have to do with the fact that i havent played it and from what i can see, theres a lot less content than warband. with that being said, i already said i played warband so dunno why you need to insert "its not a game if you want to get pampered and hand held all the way "
at any rate, it appears that the game has reached the end cycle of development and theyre not working on any further new content, specific support or even dlcs at this point? or am i incorrect
The game was released out of early access like one and a half year ago... They are working on what they said they would be doing at release. Currently working on 1.3 version, that we have no idea atm what will have in it of changes. There is no word of any dlc yet.
Put Warband and Bannerlord next to each other. Then compare what game got what... And before start go "but but mods..." Bannerlord will come out on top every day.
Get it, give it a try (don't get over 2 hours), and refund it if you don't like it.
You where the one complaining about price. So in that regard, you should care if it is on sale.
If MP is important for you in regard of Bannerlord, then join a clan....
-NO
how is MP?
-playerbase is decreasing
how is mod support?
- great. most mods get updated and there is new mods every week
is the game anywhere near good warband?
- some features from warband are missing but you can even that out with some mods. a lot better graphics.
Sad to say, if you're here for the same Warband experience, then no, you won't get what you asked for. Bannerlord is a game that stands on it's own two legs, and is good for what is worth, with or without mods. What's more, Bannerlord easily has a lot more content on the surface level than Warband. So, it's good.
But unlike our dear friend Clovis who has never played MP on Warband, Bannerlord's MP is small in scale compared to Warband. Long are the days of the Napoleonic wars, 200 server Shield Walls of Vikingr. Even cRPG is smaller compared to what it was in Warband. You will not find any good multiplayer mods here yet, or ever considering Bannerlord is seen as a "Single Player" game.
However, there is a very healthy community for Persistent World.
In short, you buy the game for Bannerlord, not to rekindle memories of Warband. Does it mean it's worth it for you? Your call. Is it a good game? Yes, Bannerlord is awesome. But if you want Warband + more then sadly Bannerlord is not for you.
but yeah, thanks for the input though !
Youtube is full of MP clan events and such that would put your 200 server shield wall to shame. If MP is your thing, join a clan, take part in events, have a blast.
I don't cuddle -)
Most of the time people just want to hear what they want to hear, regardless of what is actual, real etc.
You are correct that I have never played MP on Warband. But I have played it in Bannerlord.
I had an entire world all to myself. It was pretty. I could walk all over this little seaside town, but that's about all there was to do. I hung around there for about an hour, but no one showed up.
It might have been past most of the player base's bedtime.
I would rate the experience slightly more interesting than watching paint dry but not as much fun as cleaning up doggy poop piles in the yard.
