Cant enable achievements
After some time of not playing, I recently started a new campaign. While creating it, the game told me that achievements are disabled due to cheats being active. So I figured out how to turn them off and went on with the game creation, thinking achievements will be available now. After around 11 hours I noticed that after loading in the game said achievements are still disabled. I checked them on steam and indeed, I couldnt get progress on any of them.
Because I didnt want to start all over again and risk still having no progress, because this bug could turn up in another new save again, I kept playing and tried to rely on mods. I subbed to the Enable Achievements and Harmony mods. Because that didnt work, I tried different versions of them, but I still cant get any progress.

Does anyone have any advice how I can keep my current campaign save running (because, you know, it's a lot of fun) and get progress on the achievements? I already have over 40 tournament wins, over 200k trade profits, even the "defeat enemy army which has 500 more troops" one would be checked - everything cheat free, yet it's not accounted for.

I recommend manually downloading/installing mods yourself instead of relying on the Steam Workshop. The Workshop keeps one version of a mod, so if it gets updated, it may not longer work with your game version.

Some mods only work with a new game. I haven't used any mods related to achievements, so I don't know if this is one of them. I would recommend checking the comments/posts on the mod to see if anyone else has this issue, or if the mod author specified a new game is required for it to work. Or just ask the mod author and see what their response is.

yes, I did. Your save file is marked as "cheats enabled" even if you disabled them later. There is no way back in vanilla.

Mod "enable achievements" works in a new game, mid game, when using mods, console. I just recently got King Slayer in a game modded up to a wazoo.

lol the confidence. Even after they called you out for not reading it, you are still pretending that you did.

They said that they tried that exact mod and it didn't work. They even talked about how they tried different versions.

just wow. amazing. 10/10 jestering.

Is it possible you are playing sandbox and not campaign? I read sandbox mode has no achievements.

I appreciate the jester. But, them trying it doesn't mean they actually did it right. Mods need to be installed properly.

Short of editing the save file, that was the only option.
