Girls? Other games more likely.
It just kills me when a mod page isn't accessible anymore.
Just leave the files available, that will never need to be updated (since they are obviously old versions).
Players will be happy and maybe another modder will be able to release updated versions from that.
Write "DEAD MOD, OLD VERSION, NO UPDATE" in capital letters, even in red, in your description.
Disable the comments section, so no one will bother you asking for an update (in case they can't read).
Congratulations: you just created an archives hub of your work for everyone.
And now you can play another video game, with girls.
I don't see a issue where the creator of a mod delete his own page though. Maybe the creator in this case could been a tad more helpful stating what other mods that did offer the same, but again. Using mods is a personal responsibility. Majority of the time "dead" mods on Nexus never get removed, but creators choice, is still their choice.
So you don't see the issue, alright, here is what I see:
When a modder shuts a page down and don't give any insight on how to find a replacement solution, people won't have access to a specific feature, that exists on a specific version, that works on another specific version of a game.
Suddenly it makes this very mod a pretty rare thing.
For what it worth, I'm not playing on 1.0.3 because I'm some kind of snob. I wish I was on the latest version of Bannerlord, I really do.
Sadly, if modding can be a XML feast for modders, it can quickly be a nightmare for players when updates are necessary if you have more than 10 mods on your list. And I'm quite used to my "more than 10 mods" list.
It's just sometimes mods aren't updated for latest version of Bannelord and that sucks. I suppose TalesWorld and his silent updates are to blame.
So here is my choice, but as a player this time:
A - endlessly begging for updates on forums or comments walls (usually with little results).
B - sticking with an older version of the game and experience eternal stability (thanks god most modders provide older files).
"Dead mods" aren't useless for everyone, they are precious archives for the community.
Too bad to close the door for good when leaving...I guess ?
TaleWorld release patches to the game is not to blamed for your mods stop working. Silent updates is type "small hotfixes", they get mentioned in sticky thread on top. Larger patches get put in the news section. Nothing silent about it. Threads at TW's site get updated as well.
TW offer you a wide range of versions to be used through steam. Yet you make them out to be the bad guys and at same time complain about a modder that doesn't keep his out dated mod available for you?
People making mods is just gamers like every one else. One they grow bored ofa game they start play something else and mod something else... Like latest fad is BG3 and Starfield. (just look at mod numbers on Nexus for these). If you want to make sure your mods never get obsolete... learn how to mod yourself so you can modify your mods to make sure they keep working.
I now keep backups of my downloads on an external hard drive.
But if you really want to talk about it fair enough, I've opened a thread on TW forum just about this (and a few othhers stuff).
Title is "Baldur’s Gate 3 is Causing Some Developers to Panic", please go there and contribute, maybe I'll reply, maybe not, to be fair I quite lost interest on this topic.
All I know is that if the modder didn't close his page or gave me a bit more insight I wouldn't feel like throwing another bottle on Internet, we wouldn't have this conversation and I might be enjoying my playthrough instead.
How about we go back to my question ?
Do you know where to find "True Noble Opinion" 1.1.5.0 or anything similar working on Bannerlord 1.0.3? (I suppose not, but still worth asking)
