I would say yeah to enjoy huge battles. You could play it and have very low battles? I dunno? 20 people fighting isn't as fun as hundreds. Not sure what sieges would be like? A slideshow I imagine?

big battles need a powerful CPU. even old GPU do easily over 100 FPS in this game where it is not CPU bottle necked.

Bannerlord is for Playstation 4
this is a console over 11 years old. take this information like you want.

i wouldnt play the game without a 6 core CPU and a SSD.
your GPU isnt important. a gtx 1060 (8 years old) with 3 gb V-ram works for max settings and is recommented.

my in 2016 insane high end.. x99 platform + i7 6950x +128GB ddr4... and in 2018 insane high end 2080ti SLI
-===
which today would perform along the lines of ryzen 7 7600x (but with 10 cores and 48 lanes instead) paired with two RTX 4070, (but only one doing the work these days as SLI is retired and few games support it)

has no problem at all running this 1000 units all settings maximum... maxing out my screens framerate of 1440p 144hz easely....

so no it not need a lot at all.
-it likely still runs on something like a RTX 960 with medium settings.. heck probably even on an RX 660...

Make sure you have the game installed on a ssd as you load into different kind of menus all the time and with a hdd its going to get really annoying really fast to get a multiple second long stutter everytime you do so.
