The Old Realms mod question
So I hired a warrior pries as a companion, but he doesn't use his magic. Should I tell him to use it? Or he uses it only when he's captain or party leader?

I can't find any options about his spellcasting.

You have to go to the magic tree in a city,
that's the magic academy. There you can talk to the teacher and buy new spells from her, thus unlocking them in the spellbook.

You have to buy separate spells for yourself and each companion,
and then select a few for each character in the spellbook that they should use in combat...
and activate them by clicking on them in the spellbook,
so they can also be used in combat...
I mean, only three could be activated at a time and thus usable in combat,
even if you or the companion had purchased eight spells in the book...

But there are a lot of videos on YouTube for the Bannerlord 2-ToR Mod gameplay.

As far as I understand, Warrior Priest doesn't need to buy spells, he has his prayers while advancing in Faith.

He actually works for me after I placed him with infantry. He doesn't bother to use his magic with cavalry, though.

Tips:
Warrior priests depend on regularly praying at their god shrines to fulfil their full potential. In the Old World, Ulric shrines can only be found in the north of the empire. Choose your gameplay location wisely.
