By clicking "Play" on the launcher.

Do you have any more specific questions related to the gameplay itself? High level, you wander around the map, recruit troops, and fight stuff.

You press W to go forward and left mouse button to attack. Then press F1 F3 for your troops. All you will ever need to know.
