Why are so many more mods on Nexus and not Workshop?
I thought modding for this game was dying down, but out of curiosity I checked the bannerlord Nexus page and that's going strong comapred to the Steam Workshop. Why is this? On the user end, Steam auto-updates and 1-click installation is super convenient, so what gives?

steam autoupdate can destroy your gmae though, especially if a mod gets updated for a newer game version you do not use yourselfe.

i always found the steam workshop autoupdateing annyoing and way better to manually update the mods, especially after a update to my former favorite unit reskin mod for rome 2 total war changed the armorpieces my favorite unit was using completely destroying thair looks for me with no way to go back since you can not download older mod versions on steam workshop.

You have better control over your mods using Vortex than with steam workshop

Auto Updates are not the best option when the game itself is being updated. I prefer to pick my game version and manually install my mods so I have full control.

I do have mods from the workshop, but I've moved the files to my game and unsubbed from the mod.

There are some mods that I use older versions. If I got them from Steam, I'd be locked into whatever the latest version was.

I've seen mention that Steam also has some limitations that the Nexus doesn't. I can't confirm this, as I've only seen it being posted about in various mod discords.

It's better to just use Vortex

I've used mod managers from the nexus (back when Nexus Mod Manager was a thing), and while it's been fine, I haven't seen the need for Vortex. Is it better at handling mods?

Bannerlord itself is very easy to mod. Drop the folder into the Modules folder and activate on the launcher. I'm guessing Vortex will download mods from the Nexus directly?

For more complex games I play that I like to mod - Bethesda games come to mind - those games usually have their own mod managers that I use.

I have seen posters here before saying how awesome Vortex is, and I've seen others say that Vortex is bad for this game. If a game doesn't have its own launcher/mod manager, I could see using Vortex.

Is Vortex good about managing mods?

I'm not sure what you can easily do on your own, why don't you eat with your fingers instead of using a fork and knife?

Indeed. I apologize for trying to engage you in dialogue since you prefer to just throw insults.
