No, no, no
A minor bugfix patch was released a short while ago. Based on posts from TW, a 1.3 patch is coming, but there has been no information as to what is in it, or when it will be available.
Thus far, the development cycle of this game has been patches rather than DLC. As we're still waiting to hear something about this 1.3 patch, I imagine anything the size of DLC would be a long way off.
Did the game not sell well? I don't get the lackluster support from the dev team. Did Warband get this limited of content and support post-launch?
There is a different between post release support, and post release content. If you start look around on other game on steam. Post release content for most parts come in form of dlc's you need to pay for. Post release support come in from of patching and fixing issues with the game, of which TaleWorld been doing. As for post release content, TaleWorld been doing what they said they would do.
My guess is that commercially, Taleworlds considers the game a success. For Bannerlord, TW is doing patch updates rather than bulk DLCs like Mount and Blade 1.
Wasn't Viking Conquest for Warband released like 4 years after Warband.
I am not sure what patch they changed teh AI but individual AI combat is harder now than it used to be - you will notice it mostly in the arena not in the large battles.
Game sold well so that's why they essentially abandoned it? Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. If they kept a larger team on it and didn't ignore the fans and have slow patch updates they could make money off of dlc content down the line. Looks like they have zero plans for anything as far as their communication with the players. Maybe they are completely bereft of ideas and always meant for this simply to be a remake of the original with an upgraded graphics engine. Seems like really wasted potential...
None of the post release patches have done anything to overhaul what's in the game, only add some new features, the quality of which is up to the the individual. Personally, I like the changes and the fact that it's free, but I wouldn't expect anything about this game to change. If you didn't like the game before, you probably won't now. Unless you had a specific gripe that a new feature addresses, I doubt your opinion will change.
This is a fun battle sim with enough non-combat systems tacked on to make it a game and not just a "warriors"-like.
I also think it's a fun game that I enjoy.
