Bannerlord co op campaign
I'm not suggesting dedicated servers. Peer to Peer is fine. It will make the devs more money. And the deathmatch multiplayer has always been pointless on it's own. Co-op in campaign would be so much better!

I'm just here to quote a very good point:

"There are 0 negative factors to implement co-op.
Make the map run always at 1x speed, no pause, no speed settings.
Copy the coordinates of a player on the map, send it to the other player, he can see it as any other NPC that moves around. If one player attacks another player, its just like an NPC attacked you or you attacked an NPC.
TW needs to understand that the game will become 10 times more popular if people can actually spend time with their friends and make memories. Even if they release it as a DLC now (there are currently discord channels with over 40,000 people who are following the development of just one of the co-op mods, and in reality more than 10 times that would buy a DLC for 10-15-20-30 euro to play co-op (depending on how it is implemented), which includes people from the 3.1million sold copies and new people, who would buy the game and the DLC because of it).
Games like GTA and Minecraft would never become the most popular games and hold that title even more than a decade after their release if it wasn't for multiplayer.
If its too late to consider something like this for Bannerlord, consider making it for the next M&B game (if there will be one) I can bet TW 1000 Euro that a M&B game with co-op + MMO-style multiplayer will do much better than a Singleplayer + pointless battles multiplayer game.
I've played every M&B game. All of them. I really enjoy them, but I would enjoy them more if I could actually fight besides my friends, even if they are only one person from my army (like a companion), instead of talking on them over discord while we both play singleplayer and sharing what's happening in our own game.
I am tired of waiting for modders to do the developer's job for a core game features like co-op. I am sure TW needs 3-4 months to develop a (good enough) co-op with the developers they already pay monthly, to make a co-op that will in fact make them money (unlike the regular updates with bugfixes). As a business, I don't get why are you allergic to maximizing profits. Sure, co-op will bring more bugs and work, but also profit."

Do it, devs. The demand is high!

1. Who are you quoting?

2. How many more copies do you project TW selling if they decide to implement co-op campaign? What is your source?

3. You say the demand is high, so again I have to ask -- What is your source? On what do you base this assertion?

No, just a citizen who doesn't like it when people blow smoke up his hind end.

You made the assertions, so back them up.

And again -- Who are you quoting?

Thanks.

It's a public forum. Once you post something, anyone can respond to it.

It's not as easy to just flip a switch and then you got co-op. If it was as easy as you picture it, then modders would made it happen a long time ago.

Quite sure they have their own "number cruncher's", and have a good idea what would be economical to pursue vs other projects etc.

I guess if you can get 400k people to pre-order such a thing at 30 euro. Maybe they can reconsider... Since you so certain on your numbers, go out there and get people to sign up for such a thing... -)

Just as I thought -- An entitled co-op fanboi making things up trying to justify co-op campaign MP so he can have play dates with his buddies.

Fortunately, TW has long ago put the kibosh on co-op multiplayer.

But if you want a good co-op game to play with your little friends, try this one --

https://store.steampowered.com/app/413150/Stardew_Valley/

It has co-op and swords and stuff to kill just like Bannerlord.

Actually Bellwright is a better choice, its closer to Bannerlord in that regard...

People looking for the co-op experience they want would be better served go play Stardew Valley in that regard.

This type of comment is always what gets to me. How are you sure? Personally, I am not a coder, so I don't know what goes into it. However, when I don't know how to do something, I take the position that the task is much more difficult/complex than I realize, especially if it looks easy to do. If you do have the depth of knowledge and skill to make this happen within the span of a few months, why not reach out to the modding team working on something like this? They've been at it for much longer, so I'm sure they would appreciate the assistance.

Another thing to consider - perhaps Taleworlds doesn't want co-op. Before the game hit EA, they made the decision that Co-op doesn't mesh with the vision they have for the game, so they aren't working on it.

If the collective modding community wasn't able to come up with a mod or conversion that could make it happen after 2 years out of early access. The chance is, it's not that easy to make the co-op experience some people want. And no, I'm not talking about that Bannerlord online crap, because that is not what people who want co-op want.
