If that were true then non of my other games that I run heavily modded would work.
Bannerlord has multiple game versions available on steam, and this can cause confusion when trying to match mod versions and game versions. TW offers this so players can choose their own game version with whatever mods they want to use, but you have to do that little extra research to make sure the mod you want to use is compatible with the game version you are running.
yes but the thing is I already did that prior to installing RTS and everything was working fine for the last 2 weeks. Today I installed RTS and now everything has gone to ♥♥♥♥.
I already had a list of mods that were working and now I'm constantly getting stuck in the first load screen with the same mods that were working fine for the last 2 weeks. My game is still on 1.2.10 and my load order is exactly the same because I saved it before installing RTS incase something went wrong.
You installed a new mod and things went south. Maybe something is wrong with that mod. Maybe it doesn't like another mod in your load order. Maybe it's the wrong mod version. Maybe Mars is in retrograde. TW can't really do anything about it.
I would agree if I hadn't already removed everything from my steam directory, documents and program data and installed a fresh version.
I couldn't even get a mod list and load order that I had working previously for about 50-80 hours working again.
Now the game is getting stuck on the load screen with only 4 mods installed, Harmony/ButterLib/UIExtender/Mod Config menu. Then if I turn them off it still hangs up.
Idk if the game is saving files in a weird spot or if its just spaghetti code.
Not every game is the same when it come to modding. I tend to play a heavy modded CK3, whenever they drop a dlc half of them will break no question. Other times a single patch can do the same. Other games is far more forgiving when it come to modding, so yes, the issue is between the keyboard and the chair. Personal responsibility when it come to modding.
You should of seen how 'modding' a.k.a hacking because it cant be called modding in the first mountnblade, especially warband , also the editor there crashes 99% of the time , much like the one in this version..so tw is keeping tradition...
Strange. I been observing the M&B modding discord for a few months now. If the editor for Bannerlord did crash 99% of the time. It doesn't really reflect that on discord and what people post and talk about. It's the same editor TaleWorld use inhouse. I dare suggest a lot of the time its operator failure, in regard of what is possible to do and what is not.
It's been a while but I never had issues modding with Warband. Though I only played Brytenwalda and CRPG.
Like right now. I'll launch the game get stuck in a load screen. Then task manager out, verify and relaunch in safe mode and it works. It's annoying as hell. It's taken me almost 2 days to get that far and the worst is that the game doesn't even give my crash dumps so I have zero way of knowing what mod is causing it.
Verifying game files and relaunching with mods isn't a fix and its clear that there is some spaghetti code in the way bannerlord handles certain things.
