No patches have thus far done anything to overhaul existing systems, so I wouldn't hold your breath over TW making any changes to the diplomacy as it functions in the game.
I think character creation is still the same. The answers you give the the questions assign some attribute/focus points, and then you have some free points to spend where you want.
That's it.
The realistic know that the workshop is only one developing it.
I know quite a few people whom are waiting for Taleworld to officially dump the game before they even attempt modding it, Like what happened with Warband once Taleworld left the modding scene went ooga booga mode.
It's the same thing with games like Crusader Kings ll, Once people realize their progress isn't gunna get nuked they feel safer to make stuff. I don't like modding Bethesda or Paradox stuff cause almost guaranteed anytime they do anything you will have to do bugsplatting in your code and it's usually not a painless process.
From what i hear, Taleworlds modding is much the same.
And Taleworld + their defenders can say whatever they want, An update doesn't take this long unless it's a DLC which would be very foolish considering how much animosity Taleworld has garnered by doing nothing this long.
Almost certainly wouldn't sell and the base game would get review bombed.
Yes, they are putting out some bug fixes every now and then while introducing a whole bunch of new bugs at the same time. I wouldn't call that proper development by any standards.
People are modding the game like crazy because they want to experience new stuff which has not been provided by TW in years. Of course people are getting mad when useless updates break their mods.
That being said the entire success of M&B BL is due to modders. Without them people would have abandoned this game months after release so you should show a little bit more of gratitude to the modding scene (modders AND mod users). Or do you deny the fact that modders did more for this game than TW in the past five years?
However I do agree that 1.3 will drop eventually but at the same time we all know what it's going to be: Some mods implemented to the vanilla game but nothing truly new from TW. How do I know? Because that's exactly how Warband: Viking conquest has been developed.
There is nothing wrong with mods or modding, it adds more more options to players. But the success of a game is never going to be dependent on mods nor does it make any sense to suggest that modders have done more for the game than TW other than simply by delivering sheer volume.
Do you deny the fact that I have played without mods for over 1200 hours and never benefited from anything a mod maker has ever done? I don't have a very high opinion of TW, but their patches did 100% for me, where mods did 0%.
Mod content is pushed out on a weekly basis and there is several youtube and twitch channels introducing new mods. Of course this is gread advertisement for this game. It doesn't matter how many people actually do mod but seeing ads for this game again and again keeps the game alive. The game probably would have never made it out of beta without modders but yeah, i cannot back up my claims with actual facts. But I sure got more arguments to prove my point than you got to prove yours since you haven't come up with one. What I do have prove for is that warband viking conquest wouldn't even exist without modders and who knows if TW even would have planned M&B BL without the financial success of Viking Conquest. You obviously have no idea what impact content creators have on the life cycle of a game. Just compare player numbers of console players to player numbers of PC players. Since mods are the only major difference between console and PC version I am pretty sure mods is what makes people come and stay.
Globally all games maybe, not even bothering to fact check your claim. how much % of BL players use mods? You don't know? Well then you sure accept my bs argument that 100% of Day Z players use mods since the game is based on a mod so therefore mods are 100% responsible for a game's success. See how stupid that sounds?
Your anecdotal evidence doesn't prove anything irl. I played hundreds of hours with mods and hundreds of hours without mods. So?
My point still stands. BL on console is dead (argueably bc of no mods) whereas on PC the game still has around 20k players likely due to mods since mods are the only new content this game sees. Feel free to prove me wrong but spare me your "I do this and that so all people do this and that" argument. You are not the center of the world.
