(for infantry +25% speed, its a "must have" cawse enemy mostly run away to a defend position and you have to walk all over the battlemap)
sometimes i use the + meele.dmg or lower enemy range dmg.
mostly the first half of the game, when you have limited options.
Archers = I do also use the Marksman Flag which gives the +8% damage to ranged.
Cavalry = I prefer the Banner of The Knights for +30% charge damage on the captains I have leading my parties cav formations.
I do the same for my infantry, but I also usually have a Shock Troops (Line Breakers, Elite Falxmen, etc) so i give them the Standard of Wrath for +15% melee damage.
Archers I go with the Accuracy flag instead of damage.
Banner of the Knight, yes for Melee Cav.
Tug of the Endless Steppe I think it is, mounted movement speed for my HAs.
i would be very surprised, if the much better (infantry) movement speed buff
would work for cavalry
Wonder whether the buffs work if you combine them. What if I give a unitl several -15% damage banners?
Does it matter if the banner bearer gets killed?
Also, you can see when your enemy bearer gets taken out, another unit will grab the banner if they can get to it. I have a couple of times noticed my troops do the same thing.
Archers - bonus accuracy
Shock cavalry - charge damage
Maybe bonus melee damage applies to infantry only?....
