Crash Without any Mods?
i played the game without any problems this morning. after the 1.1.6 patch, i got crashes. so i returned to 1.1.5. but i still got crashes so i remove all the mods and give it a try again but still the game doesnt even start. i did a repair from steam for files and yet i still cant even play vanilla game. it says "the application faced a problem. we need to collect necessary files to fix this problem. bla bla..." i couldnt hold my laugh when i see the patch notes. you don't add any new content, okay, at least stop sabotaging modders who still care about this game.

1. Sounds like you have mod lint because you didn't properly delete your mods.

2. Don't come here singing the Modder Fanboi Lament ('OPDATE BROKED MAH MODS DIS GAE SUX!!!) when you did not make the effort to disable auto-updates or do anything else to prevent your mods from getting borked when the game updates.

3. This is all on you. You could have prevented a problem, but you chose not to, preferring to whine about it.

dude game added almost zero content since the release. its okay, no one expects rockstar traitment from talewords. we loved warband, we enjoyed it because of the main idea and with the support of its mods. but in case of bannerlord, they just ruin the modders work with meaningless patches. i am sure that if the sales were bad they would work their asses off to make this game good. anyway, thanks for the link. but i did that, i meant the whole procedure when i said i repaired the game files but it wasnt clear so its my bad.

Check for windows updates. Oh and the devs care way more about their game than any modder.

You cannot just uninstall mods and expect the problems to go away. Mods always leave behind junk that permanently break things. You have to completely delete the mods from your PC, and do a properly cleaned re-install following the directions from their pinned topic in the tech support forum. And its also best to switch to the latest beta version when doing your reinstall. And dont touch mods until you are able to verify that your game works with no issues. And probably should just stay away from mods altogether until the game is done being developed.

as i said before, i uninstall the mods completely. i just completely delete the game and reinstall it, and now i am able to play. as you know it has been almost 4 years and it's not very pleasant without mods right now. thanks for the reply.

Well I just read the replies to your post and I must say that the replies are on the hostile side. Not just your post but most of the posts questioning stability.
I for one just installed on my BRAND NEW PC after taking some time off from playing the game. When I launched I also have an issue of crashes right after character creation.

It is not you or your issue as it is happening for a first time install on a new PC. So I tried an install on my sons new PC as well. Same issues. Wife just bought a new PC as well and I tried it on hers and it crashed at the same spot.
