You are trading the wrong stuff. Go to Aseria and buy all of the sumpter horses, mules, desert horses and Aserai horse you can afford. Then take them to Vlandia and Sturgia to sell. Good profit and your Trade will go up.

I just did that it took a long time lots of money spent and I sold them for profit but did not see any exp or levels. the town did not have enough money.
Look 300 levels of trading is too much grindind if I cant make but max 2k experience with northern fish to battania. Too much grind is too much atleast for me it aint working.

I hate trading just give me the command consule command how to add trade exp to myself

As some skills are still insanely sluggish to level dont feel ashamed to ask for Console commands :P

Open console with "^" and "Alt" (press on same time)
type "config.cheat_mode 1" and hit Enter
Now type "campaign.add_skill_xp_to_hero Trade xxxxxxx" with x beeing the number of XP you wanna get. You can replace "Trade" with any other skill to do the same with the rest for example OneHanded for... OneHanded and so on.

BTW if you wanna skill Trade focus on Horses as mentioned before Aserai or khuzait are best options here. Trade is a bit sluggish in the end but generally its a "doable" thing...

Some other skills are way way worse to skill (looking at you raiding)

it says unknown command when I try those. Cheats are activated and console is open.

Then I guess you're just going to have to play the game.

Dont type the " ... i m used to use " a lot for stuff like that maybe confusing a bit :P
simply
config.cheat_mode 1
press enter
campaign.add_skill_xp_to_hero Trade 5000
press enter
you can type any number instead of 5000....

True i use some cheats atm as is alpha and when the game will be done it will be completely different and these saves will be useless.

Works thank you yes isnt this still a beta I like grinds but was just too poor trader on this game
Gaspard Feb 16, 2021 @ 12:23pm
Your just poor at trading. It is one of easiest skill to get. ;P
Just buy cheap and sell expensive. :P
You need some true skill to get onto market and try to remember what goods have price. For example 7-6 for grain is very cheap and you can sell it in good place for 20- 24.
It depends for example when kingdom is in war with another kingdom they are not trading with each other so you can earn some money with it. ;)

Learn to trade peasant.

Get character export mod.
Export your character.
Add yourself only that perk.
Save.
Import.
Save your game. Delete the mod.

Don't up your trading via cheats, that's unnecessary; play the game normally and grind up your trading too. But you will be able to trade fiefs, IIRC.

Disregard the stupid on the forums. Enjoy your game as you like until TW fix their sht.

It's easy to get but like he said it's extremely grindy. No one wants to run all over the map looking at trade menus over and over again.

Most of the fun in this game is getting to lvl 300. Once you unlock it, the game gets very boring very quickly. Buying your way out of everything is not challenging or interesting. There's a lesson in real life there somewhere.

this is from 2021... 4 years old in early access.

do you have 300+ trade , cawse you know the guy saying "easiest skill to get" is right ?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
