Why buy the game when you don't like the hairstyles ? lol Do you have preferences in life ? Are you satisfied with everything ? Do you just buy something because people think it is cool ? I never said I was going to buy the game but I will give the devs ideas to make the character creation, and experience more fun. Are you playing this game to test it out for the devs so you can give ideas or point out bugs so the devs can fix it ? This game is no way near release so you are doing the same thing I am doing as in testing it out.
That said on hair length its genetics. This is for those question hair length, its same for men and even male beards. Your beard will only grow so far and some can grow a beard below their waist and some to only their chest.
If I saw your long locks and we were battling, you can bet your ass I would swing your around by your hair and make you scream in pain. Game over.
I am a black belt with ankle length hair, and I do fine in sparring because I wear my hair up. No one in their right mind would cut their ankle length hair shourt lol You know how long that takes to grow ? I didn't even watch my hair grow very long because my moder started growing my hair from birth, and now I am 22 with the longest hair that would be a sin to just chop it off. No I will not stop expecting devs to stop catering to long hair princesses. Just because war and battle is ugly it doesn't mean the fighters have to be also. There is no ankle length hair on the "Vikings",and besides they all wear extensions lol Yes viking women as shield maidens wore their hair as long as they can grow it. My ancestours cared about grooming, and looking great in battle or outside battle. So you are telling me the women can't have long hair in battle but the men can have the longest beards, and flowing hair ? If very long hair was required on a woman regardless of the situation than shield maidens fought with super long hair. Most women wanted to be like Frejya, and Sif,and saw them as rolemodels. So if super long hair was appreciated than women wore super long hair as vikings. You can contain ankle length hair by wearing two braided buns. Yes a true warriour can have ankle length locks because hair does give one power, and confidence. You don't just wear your hair shourt because you are a warriour.
Yes some women get cheated in how long their hair can grow. I have a friend that grew her hair to her knees, and it eventually stopped growing. It's not like i am special or should get a gold medal because I am achieve a length not everyone can lol I have good genetics,I trim my hair, and it just grew lol Nothing to it. I did have my hair dragging the floor during the pandemic because I didn't have time to get my hair trimmed lol I did learn that with my genetics my hair keeps growing. I don't know when I will reach terminal length but from what I see I think I can achieve floor length hair lol I don't think I will ever grow my hair where it drags the ground because I love wearing my hair down, and if my hair gets that length I will have to wear it up all the time which is boring. So when Bannerlord came out there was only one choice of characters to choose ? That probably sucked lol
No, I didn't say it couldn't be done, I said I doubt you. And, I do not believe that even if you did grow it that long that you'd wear it like that all the time.
Genetics... Okiedokie.
So... You insist that a medieval warrior-woman is going to wear her ankle-length hair down into battle, but you're lucky because you can wear your ankle-length hair because you don't live a very physically active lifestyle?
i don't care about your hair.
Not even a little bit.
This is Bannerlord. if you want ankle-length-hair-sprouting-barbarian-Valkyries, get it from a mod.
This is nearly a whole thread about you talking about your hair. Which, sorry, I just don't believe. But, I don't really care enough to care about what kind of hair you have or if you've just picked the most ridiculous thing to complain about in Bannerlord since the sheep fiasco just for the lulz...
5/7 weaksauce
She did make good point but u also make good point for hair, o think in a civilian outfit women need have longer hair and in battle they need to make hairstyle on short, yet again in myb 1 out of 10 battle to have long hairstyle tho that is not gonna happen in milion years my opinion
Shieldmaidens yeah yeah but Germanic people worshiped fertility, pregnancy and the ancestral relay race of old generations carrying into new generations.
From what I've heard, 'lucky 13' is lucky because some ancient Swedish calender (of all things, since OP is apparently Swedish), that was based on menstrual, or lunar cycles or something, forgot the deetz, but the main point was fertility in women and 13 was sort ofthe middle point of it all because fertility was highest, or something.
Not sure how true that is, though.
That said, Irminsul as well as the Odin figure itself are both clearly tied to those things.
With Irminsul being a stylized vaginal canal + womb and stylized ovaries on top, and Odin being a growing human fetus.
You know, hanging upside down, for 9 nights (months), from the world tree/tree of life (placenta, ever looked at one that's drained of blood? yeah, it looks like a tree actually)
pierced by a spear (guess what that is) sacrificed to himself by himself (DNA, Sperm ) and has ravens for memory and thought, etc.
What I'm getting at is:
Why would anyone send the respawn point into battle and be happy about it?
One woman can only make, on average, one child per year, no matter how many storks poke her.
But one man can go around showing the stork where to go pretty much anywhere that has a place to roost.
So to replenish a people, more women rather than less women are needed, the only way to speed up replenishment is by having more women, not less.
And that's worth more than sending one more body into battle, at least IRL. Even if the world is so populated now that it might seem superfluous.
But if we are talking about 'femininity' then being treated like a man is not exactly conductive to that.
They're not the same, so treating them the same is not catering to the specialness of women.
A woman can do pretty much everything a man can do, yes.
But a man cannot do everything a woman can do. Maybe if they keep messing around with 'modern medicine' they one day will be able to, but that point is not yet there, not reliably.
Women can do the most important thing, more important than anything else. That which enables people who want to claim otherwise the ability to do so.
Continue the damn human race. Can't even deny it wihtout some woman having done it to you before . Or you wouldn't be here to deny it.
Edit: And yeah obviously they need a man for that too, but I'd wager that men have the easier part in the creation process here.
How little you care really comes across in your point by point rebuttal
