For the love of the Bannergods please fix Clan Recruitment

There is definitely something wrong with Clan recruitment for the past several updates now. To give some context, I have pretty much conquered 70% of the map, "eliminated'' half the factions, and have 100 relations with most of those clans, have many millions of gold, all those clans are economically destitute(in both gold and properties), and YET, YET, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I CANNOT INITIATE THEIR RECRUITMENT PROCESS. The game refuses to let me. I haven't had this issue months back(i have like about a dozen clans that I had recruited this way). Now all I get from everyone i try to recruit is that they are "happy with their liege, and my money/relationship is not deep enough".

When this started happening I figured the devs probably knew/would know of this issue and fix it eventually, but no. After so many updates, it's still not fixed. I've even searched online and it seems many ppl have been having this issue but have mostly been dismissed as not sufficiently fulfilling the requirements for recruitment. I love M&B but this is seriously hampering my enjoyment of the game atm.

A problem is, if you fail an attempt to recruit a noble, there are no second tries. You fail, that's it - no recruiting that clan period.

In real history, you could subdue him. Or just kill and take over. Aren´t we playing in an early feudal setting?

did you try to use companions as new clans?

they have low clan lvl and only 2 or 3 clan-member at start but better then nothing?

I ran into the same problem today when trying to start a kingdom, but I think I just figured it out (they should really change the message you recieve when trying to recruit lords to clarify this).

Only clans without a fief would be interested in joining! This is how you find them:

1. Take a look at the encyclopedia and find the clans tab.

2. Go through them all (or at least the onces in your vicinity). I would recommend that you write down the name of the faction leader on a piece of paper.

3. Start tracking the leaders down. I managed to sway a low tier clan with only three members into joining by offering like 270k. I'm guessing it will take a lot more if there are more clan members.

Urgh, i should have added this to the list for further clarification. The clans i've tried to persuade INCLUDES clans that have no fiefs and few members. I have tried almost every clan i could find. No luck.

Yes I have companions that i have changed to clans. But that's not the ideal method. Companions have ♥♥♥♥ stats for one and i can't be bothered training them from scratch and i don't want ♥♥♥♥ lords in my kingdom.

This is definitely not a problem. I've not failed a recruitment ONCE for this campaign. I also doubt this is true, unless they've changed this in a recent update as in my last run through i've converted lords that i've failed before.

Isn't the cooldown 30 ingame days or something? I thought only marriage is a do or die deal.

It sounds like you have an ideal save to test this behavior. Do the remaining clans who will not consider joining you have something in common? Do their leaders have a specific personality trait? A certain number of Vassal, Noble, or Child Lords? Can you provoke any of them to join you once the leader is executed?

That's not true.

Well, then things have changed since my previous playthrough, but that was long ago. In my previous one I started some months ago, I haven't gotten to create my own kingdom yet -- though I already own 12 fiefs as a Vlandian vassal (Compare that to the king's clan who only owns 6 )

I haven't tried executing anyone since I heard that tends to have very terrible consequences. I thought doing that would have the opposite effect since you did kinda execute a family member?

As for whether or not they have anything in common...i don't think so? It's not just one kingdom's clans. It's every kingdom/culture.

In my last playthru conqouring the map I had 0 clans join despite many attempts and controling the map.

Hi Callum. I know being the moderator has some ups and downs( seeing the corrupt a wish born in this server) and the various people who um haven't said flattering things about you. I will help to look for every bug and will probably try to break the game in every way in the beta( so it can be fixed). I have always been supportive and honestly this game series would be fun. it provided me with a joy in a life of a constantly sick child(aplastic anemia). I hope you reply

PS: can you do the fourth wall thing in the games where you include yourselves in there.
