Bandit parties doesn't spawn extra when you accept the quest. But your quest have a time limit, and within that time limit there is enough of them to go around to complete the quest. You can always survey the area for any bandit parties before accepting such a quest too.
Who get steam rolled or not, is quite random. In my current Campaign. Bats and Aserai is making life hard for Vlandia. And Northern Empire is giving Sturgia one on the chin. Meanwhile certain towns is doing the rebel ping pong.
You as the player can decide a lot regarding these conflicts too. You see a side that take more of a beating you don't like. Go fight for them.
the reason was exactly that 1.8 have billion bugs and TW need over a half year to fix some bugs and over a full year for a content-patch.
i like 1.8 its a good patch. but that TW simple ignore all the bugs and now will bring this as a "full release version" is so crazy. nobody can understand this.
I'n my current campaign on 1.8 I had one crash to desktop. That all... and that after a 4 hour long session... Only thing I noticed is I can't learn any schematics for 2h axe or polearms...
regardless, little point in playing now as full release will not be compatable with our current saves
