Too many bugs in 1.8
Cav can no longer make full use of thrust attacks, being totally useless ,doing 1/3rd of damage in 1.72. Archers like fians can destroy cav attacks, just silly.

grain grain grain....what more to say?

NPCs stuck inside castle walls/buildings during sieges.

sieges not ending when attacking party has clearly killed all defenders(because one guy is probably in the ground) and it causes you to have to retreat-send troops-loose loot.

AI armies not defending newly won fiefs and them being attacked rite away again.

lag on campaign map droping fps to 20 for some time

quest to kill (insert number of parties) bandit parties in an area: bandit parties often dont spawn in high enough quantity.

BATTANIA / NORTHERN EMPIRE - Getting steam rolled in every game. yes its a bug as each faction should be balanced.

i was expecting a full release to bring more content. Not being one month from release and HOPING TW fix this BASIC stuff.

Nevermind how easy the game is and how walking around towns villages has no real point. workshops being free money and simply OP as you dont need to maintain them.

Just silly thought process from the devs. They really seem to have done the bare minimum in regards to adding depth and making their original formula better.

it released as EA a while back...who knew that what was there at release was ALL we were actually getting???!!! Hugely dissapointed

You should probably go play something else. You will never find true happiness here.

Bandit parties doesn't spawn extra when you accept the quest. But your quest have a time limit, and within that time limit there is enough of them to go around to complete the quest. You can always survey the area for any bandit parties before accepting such a quest too.

Who get steam rolled or not, is quite random. In my current Campaign. Bats and Aserai is making life hard for Vlandia. And Northern Empire is giving Sturgia one on the chin. Meanwhile certain towns is doing the rebel ping pong.

You as the player can decide a lot regarding these conflicts too. You see a side that take more of a beating you don't like. Go fight for them.

Just don´t accept these quests at some border - because it can be swarmed with AI parties when they declare war, which also hunt down the brigands, which drags the quest out much longer. I try to avoid them. Imho they should spawn extra parties like with the caravan protection, or ambush missions, or poacher missions, or deserter missions, or...

There's definitely something wrong as I keep getting crashes all the time. I can't determine what it is but perhaps something associated with buying goods at some villages. Specifically, and I have tested, I try to buy goods from tubilus and the game crashes, every single time.

Ok now it's happening in Fanab

for me, it was impossible that beta patch 1.8 is the main version before end of 2022....

the reason was exactly that 1.8 have billion bugs and TW need over a half year to fix some bugs and over a full year for a content-patch.

i like 1.8 its a good patch. but that TW simple ignore all the bugs and now will bring this as a "full release version" is so crazy. nobody can understand this.

I'n my current campaign on 1.8 I had one crash to desktop. That all... and that after a 4 hour long session... Only thing I noticed is I can't learn any schematics for 2h axe or polearms...

cavalry are definitely acting weird and doing less damage than they used to. And AIs are hoarding grain but besides that it's not that ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

yeah the other things are minor, but the cav is game breaking as is the grain. at least if your playing tryhard and everything matters.

regardless, little point in playing now as full release will not be compatable with our current saves
Urmel Sep 21, 2022 @ 3:35am
why should current saves not be conpatible with full release? (i assume not using mods)

yeah i play vanilla, but with full release wont their need to be a new game started in order for patch content to fully work? even 1.8 was like that
Triple G Sep 21, 2022 @ 4:17am
One has to wait. If they don´t change anything which affects the save file - it could be possible to play the same game. But i wouldn´t count on it. I guess the usual three updates after release will be savegame compatible. And even if the savegames are compatible - i would probably start a new game with the release version. But probably i take a break first, as usually some patches happen after release for any game.

I don't understand why they are sitting on these bugs instead of fixing them in another patch.

yes a quick hotfix should be mandatory. Shows they dont care as much as they say or think they do. i often release mods, and if a comment appeared once, not even frequently,id be on it rite away ,thank the dude or dudette who found the issue, and fix it at next available time, usually within the same day..ie before i sleep because i care about quality
