Becoming Ruler of existing Faction
Is this possible? and how? if its not possible, i would like to suggest making a kingdom policie or something like that so lords can vote to revoke the current ruler, i want to be the damn king of Sturgia for god sake.

It is possible through marriage and death. But I suspect you do not want to wait that long or roll the dice.

Kill all of the ruling clan but 2. Start courting process one of the last. before having the 2nd visit, kill the other one. The one your courting will be the new leader. You are half way into marriage, go seal the deal.

No clue if it works ^^

I do not think that would work. The game mechanics are such that when you kill a noble, all nobles start to dislike you. Under the above suggestion all nobles would hate you so much by the time you were done, no one would talk to you.

Yup, as soon as you kill someone's friend they get an instant -100 relation with you. And AFAIK there's no way of assassinating someone without people finding out.

If you join a faction as a lord, you become one of the eligible candidates for when that lord dies. Maintain high relations with the other lords in your faction and get your clan to a high level, and you'll probably be a shoe-in for the election.

Unfortunately, the only way for lords to die without you killing them, is dying of old age. Which will obviously take a while.

Oddly timely thread. Just 20 minutes ago, Garios, leader of the Western Empire died. I was one of the three in the vote to replace him and lead. I did not win.

Careful what you wish for... if this was in the game, it could just as easily be used to oust you without much say! :mhwhelp:

Does enabling death work for all the lords in your battles? I actually haven't tried it yet.

It would be really funny if you started a battle with him and javelined him in the back immediately to kill him

Someone who makes mods needs to see this and make a hitman mod and adds a gambling mechanic as to if people find out you hired the hit or not. Would be dope!
