Weapons and Armor Heirloom mechanic
Would be cool to see weapons and armor passed down from one character to another after death and perhaps being able to see who wore the armor before or the weapons used by who and the time period it was acquired. Maybe they can even give certain buffs to charm or something depending on how the characters before were played, whether they were skilled in one handed/two handed or maybe they were good negotiators and it gives a bonus to earning points in that particular area while be worn by another character. Maybe limit buffs to a total of 3 so it's not too broken. Just an idea, cheers if you read my rant.

It's an interesting idea. I like the family mechanics, but losing your cool character with high skills is a little saddening, your idea could help make playing a newer character more enjoyable. That being said, I don't think it's something they will add to the game themselves, but it's a pretty cool mod idea and I would even suggest posting it on the forums as a "mod idea" for the knowledgable modders to play around with.

I only wish that clan members didn't suddenly dropped dead with all their equipment (and along with it their role in the clan).

Perhaps, maybe, we might also need some mechanisms to "tutor" our kids so that they can have some perks leveled up by their adulthood.

Perhaps a "Trainer" companion role will find a good place in the game. Can use it to train your own party troops or instruct your children as they grow so they start with some skills, by placing them in the same fief
