Im happy for you :)
I am happy for you that you are happy. :)
Congratulations!
But, get ready for it all to go pear-shaped... There's going to be a bunch of broken mods over the weeks after release. Strap yourself in as the post-release patch-fest wrecks them and the forums alight with "muh Workshop modz broked" posts.
That is what the comment section on the workshop for. Let's see if they can project the same "love" to them as they done towards TW for "breaking" their mods -)
I remember when Warband mods hit the Workshop and the Workshop couldn't handle them... They were just too large.... ahem... So, Steam had to increase the file-size for workshop uploads. Even so, some mod teams just said "Nope" and decided not to bother with the fuss.
And, those excellent mod-teams got a ration of crap for not "supporting the Workshop" from Workshop fans, when Warband players had been already been downloading .zips and .rars and installing them, themselves, for years.
I'm happy for Workshop fans. That's great for them. But, IMO, it's "too soon" in development right now for the rush of mods some players are going to force-feed into their game. Then comes...
"gaem suxxors, crash, no loades, save-game broked, all muh solders hands are gone, wtf, refund"
"We're sorry to hear that. Did you try to Validate your local files?" asks a respectful TW employee.
"I VADIMATED FIVETY NIEN TIME AFTA INSTALLED ""Grumblepants' "Naked Lady Dagger Mod L.o.L. Edition"" AN GAEM IS BROKED THE WERKSHOPE SUXX REFUND NAOW!"
They could have waited until at least the first flight of post-release patches. I guess they don't think they need to? Like... no other dev ever thought the same thing and were hit in the face by mod-complaint posts?
I guess if you don't read the forums, you don't have to worry about complaint threads? :)
