Defend the Castle
Hi all. Sorry i'm newcomer, not expert. I would have a question: I've got a castle in Sturgia, i have a little group 70 person in total.. and should defend this. Sturgia is in war with Battania. Battania attack my castle and is always stronger. The question is: With my limited number of warriors i try to go to an high tower, concentrate all the mans there and when the enemys comes up make the fire with arrows. I've read this technique in a sort of tutorial and i'd like to practise it. I comand to my clan to "don't move". When the enemies are near.. they go down.. and obviosly die in a moment against hundred and hundred enemies. I've tried also to command: F5 for don't move, but everytime, when all the sturgians are dead, they go down and fight and die in open space. Is there a way to make your mans wait until the last moment and stay in the tower till death?

2 options

1) auto resolve, dont fight yourself.
defending siege armies get high boni.

2) if you fight yourself in a siege, never give any orders.
default is delegate command, dont change this.

did you have build up some siege units like catapult when the enemy armie started the siege? sometimes player forget this.

and you could let them take the castle. you will get a new (better) one.
first fief is always free in a faction.
I'm guessing you went vassal as soon as it became available if you only have a party of 70 and a castle. My advice is ditch the castle and the vassalisation until you've beefed up your numbers with a quartermaster and various skill perks by working as a mercenary. By then you should have a decent number of denars for building projects and garrison wages.

My cycle goes: Fight a war, dump upgraded troops into the garrison, recruit fresh noobs, repeat.

I'm trying, not very well yet in this. I'll try in next days.

Yes i'm a vassal for Sturgia. I have 2 castles, i've made some money.. i have a brevery and a "linen production activity" i don't know the exact word in english. I'm slowly becoming stronger. 1 of 2 is attacked.
