Only the true people remember the demo version where you had a lvl 7 limit before you had to purchase the game (and we couldn't because we were kids back then). Even back then we were having a blast playing the game.
Only true people remember those hours we used to play on that LOTR mod in M&B 1. Nobody would complain back then, everyone was happy of what the game had to offer, and oh boy the game was really something.
Mount and Blade is game nobody knew they needed. It has everything someone wants from this genre. Show one single game that does what M&B is doing. None.
People who now complain are just whiners who think they can get what they dream of during the night and make them wet, expecting always more and more. I can hear if you say M&B 2 is a "revamp" of M&B 1 and that you're disappointed.
But saying it's a bad game or that it has been abandonned.... Abandonned of what exactly, it is complete at its current state. You can pretty much do whatever you want.
It is far from perfect, but you still can enjoy the game now. Stop complaining you disgusting forever unsatisfied inbreds. A game can't mimic everything you expect from reality. In the end, it's just algorithms you're playing with. Your archer behaving like a dumb*ss is just an algorithm, not your IRL neighbor.
This is harsh, but I agree. I just don't think this game meshes well with people who want to play multiplayer, nor is the game style very conducive to multiplayer.
Multiplayer is good for games where it's okay to be herding cats. Try to coordinate 30 cats into a solid shieldwall and I just don't imagine it going well.
But I have literally never even looked at multiplayer, so maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it was a resounding success.
Actually, good team work beat random teams of skilled player with no team work just about any day of the week. You have clans playing Bannelord that does drills on team work to get just such shield walls -)
Time for me to quote myself
The few people left playing Bannerlord's multiplayer mode don't actually care about Mount&Blade's PVP offerings. Everyone who did had already jumped ship, and the only people left playing it only do so to voice their refusal to use the Epic Games Launcher.
They communication skills improved a little - after the disaster of adding Bannerlord to steam YEARS before it hit early access with that information never being provided - but those skills (as limited as they were) appear to have been lost.
I think claimants are still supposed to be added, but I'm not expecting much at this point. Enjoy the game as is with mods.
Unless we get a massive balance overhaul that somehow manages to win back lost players, Bannerlord's multiplayer has effectively been replaced for most people
Award given solely on the basis of this one sentence.
Just because you like one type of multiplayer game doesn't mean you like another. That's like say if I liked Battlefield, then I HAD to like Call of Duty as well. People play the games they do regardless of what platform they on, as long as they like the games.
People doesn't necessary like EA's Origin, or the Ubisoft launcher, or whatever else launchers out there, but that doesn't keep them from play games that use them regardless.
Your obsession about EGS is just.... that...
Bannerlord is a nice loop I like repeating with different outcomes over the years. Always ends up with the map being my colors though. I played the earlier versions, and this one is the best. To me the battles seem like your watching a movie, but your in control until you get knocked out of your saddle.
They have exactly one game before Bannerlord, which's Mount & Blade. M&B:Warband is simply "extras" & multiplayer update for M&B sold separately... They have made precisely 1 single game ever than used it's success to milk cash with BL without ever finishing it, oh, and it's "initial development" took nothing more than 1 decade to be released unfinished... But they built some fancy-arse noice big headquarters in Turkey
Can't wait for the forum topics.
