Steam workshop or BLSE?
Hi :)
Few months ago, i have read some posts, that mods downloaded directly from Steam workshop tend to do not work correctly

So I download mods directly from nexus mods, and copy them in modules folder. It kind of works, but a lot of random crashes every game.

I find out BLSE launcher and with that, no crashes at all, it runs smoothly, because it summarise mods into right load order automatically.
My question is, it is still an issue? To have the same mods I use through BLSE, to use them without it, just through steam workshop?

Thanks a lot for answer :)

I've never had issues with manually installing mods from the Nexus. The only times I've had instability/crashes is when I tried to use mods that were incompatible with each other, or not compatible with the game version I am running.

You can use the Steam workshop, but I recommend manually move the mod folder from the workshop folder to your Modules folder and unsubscribe from the mod. That will keep the mod files on your computer and avoid any mod updates.

i use both, some of my mods like diplomacy, governor handles issues are from steam and rest (banner kings culture expanded, rbm etc) from nexus. i have maybe 1 crash every 15 hours so it's fine. blse it's good cause it tells also if you have right version of mod so i prefer that as launcher
