Spreadsheet with all the main factions troop stats. Also a balance discussion (vlandia bad, fian OP, khuzait strong)
I always knew Bannerlord balance is all over the place. So I was wanting to make a big balance mod to it for a while now, giving factions more identity, and fixing issue TW never fixed (swapped skill number, wrong item,...). So as first step I made a spreadsheet to have all the important datas about all the faction units. I decided to share it, because why not, right ?

Here it is.

Each troop tree have their own page.
There is most likely some typos and a few wrong datas here and there (it was kinda a PITA to put all those numbers). Hopefully nothing major.

Do note it doesn't include horse armor (annoying to check), if a spear can be couched (same, but in my experience the AI doesn't do successful shock charge anyway).
Also, it's all about numbers. While some stuff won't change in gameplay (atrocious armor in number is also atrocious when you take an arrow in the face), some other might (for example some weapon are slow to swing and expose the unit a lot more). But overall it supported my own experience playing the game.

Quick things of note :
-Vlandia have atrocious armor all across the board. Their noble cav try to be Cataphract wanabee bust just plain suck. A big issue is them using t1 shoulder armor until the end (which give them like 3armor) while other factions uses higher tier shoulders as they progress (giving up to 16ish)
-Cataphract is tanky as hell, but I guess we all knew that already. Legionary, on the other hand, are not that good. Overall the best jack of all trade faction IMO
-Khuzait have one of the best overall roster. As always.
-Sturgia have poor infantry, surprinsingly (but not really). And they were buffed :D Their noble line is a mangled mess that doesn't know what it want to be (half of it is infantry the other is poor cav)
-Battania have one of the best T5 melee infantry (that was unexpected). Also Fian OP
-Aserai have the most skilled T5 infantry
-Battania win the dubious award of best recruit, with up to 14armor and up to 80damage hammer. Which they won't hit with because it will be slow as hell with 10skill.
-Cataphract top tier, Fian and Khan's guard OP noble line (as expected). The aserai's Faris is not bad either, but not as awesome
-numerous "bug" around. Wrong armor piece (sturgia t4 archer), swapped skill attribute (t3-4 faris throwing skill), unit swapping main weapon type accross tiers (vlandia 2h line, doing spear-2h-spear), or throwing weapon appearing and disappearing in the same line. And other stuff.
-pilum is not a thrown weapon in game, and TW forget about that once in a while, adding it on throwing unit on top of their already existing spear.

I had some fun with it, some facepalming and spent a few hours on it, so I hope you enjoy.

Strat gaming has already done this and has several videos too.

Well, I don't know about them, and videos are not very convenient for stat crunching. I made the spreadsheet originally for myself for modding purposes, and google didn't give me a premade spreadsheet.

One thing about the Faris. They are actually really easy to get compared to the others

Thank you my good sir (or madam) !^^

This is great! I thought Sturgia had better infantry, they seem quite strong in groups.

Thanks for the info

Sturgia's infantry is OK, I guess, but not that good. Which is sad, considering it is supposed to be their main strength.

The thing about sturgia's infantry, if it wasn't changed, they have a unique shieldwall, where they also protect over their head with shields. The other faction just put shield in front of them.

lol well that does explain it. I go to high ground and rain arrows down, typically, I guess I just didn't see their little shield game. Still beat them, just, it was harder than it should have been.

Aserai have best infantry, that's surprising. They do look badass. I'll have to try them out

One easy way to counteract shield wall. Go behind them with cav, and use some range weapon and whatnot (thrown is OK). Better if you have archer cav. The AI will turn to face your puny projectile exposing their backs to the main archer line. Then usually they are very confused. It's kinda OP. I play on "normal" difficulty for AI, might not work for higher lvl, I dunno.

Khan's guards are a lot of fun with that. The khuzait archer are more than decent, so you take the guard, go behind the line and pepper them both side. If the enemy cav harass you, the guard can handle them in melee if needed. Felt like cheating honestly.
